I fully agree with you on this one!
I used a Kindle (first one with the keyboard) for years and then was offered a free Kobo that was back-lit. I was worried about the eye-strain (I stare at a computer screen for work all day, I hate trying to read things on the computer at home. But, I must say, back-lit e-readers are amazing!
I couldn't imagine trying to read a book on a tablet.
