Wouldn't it be sweet if that was from the set of an epic new NIN music video for Shit Mirror or Ahead of Ourselves and Mark Romanek came back as director? I'm always hoping for a reunion between Mark and NIN. His videos for Closer and TPD are among the best music videos ever created.

I second this. For some additional info, ARS Technica did quite a few articles on Mr. Robot in seasons 1 or 2 analyzing the accuracy of the hacks and/or if they are really possible in the way portrayed. My take on those articles was most of the stuff was very legit.

Also, Rami Malec and Sam Esmail are incredible and super talented!

“Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, who shared an Academy Award for scoring “The Social Network,” are providing the music — and almost the entire movie will be synchronized to it.”

    Yeah, gimme that.

Being annoying is a requisite for being a youtube reviewer.

Sounds like this was towards the end of the Further Down the Spiral tour in January/February 1995. No recordings of "Eraser", audio or video, circulate from the last handful of shows... so we're probably not ever going to see it

They also have 7 songs from TDS in the top 12 and Ruiner isn't one of them

At last a video may be coming! I was worried that posting this might be tempting fate but then I noticed Trent himself liked it so I figured it wasn’t some big secret

If TR's on the video set he's probably in the video, which would make this the second NIN video since Survivalism that includes Trent, yeah? The only other one being Came Back Haunted, which can only just barely be described as 'starring Trent Reznor.' If we include She's Gone Away, then this will be the 1st non-Lynch (?) directed NIN with Trent/NIN in the video since 2007? Are my numbers right?

There's also the possibility that he was simply there to observe the process.

Update (July 3): The original report stating Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross will be scoring “Waves” is not confirmed yet. A producer on the project says a deal with the duo is not finalized.

Fuck yeah, at last ! And it's filmed on a real site, so it's an actual full music video. Can't wait.

I hope Gambino pushed them to throw all their money on this.

    And I hope it's great.

Oh I didn't even think about Trent's take on This is America and how that may have pushed for an amazing music video to come out. Now I am very excited.

I just got it from ASDA - you can buy it from here if not in the UK actually, you can either subscribe or buy single issues

I know it's rather pointless to bring up a spotting of NIN on the radio, but Over and Out just played out of left field on Radio Helsinki. I love the fact that this station isn't commercially obligated to only play mandatory singles, and the hosts are free to curate their programme.

i think that kind of random spotting / hearing is exactly what this thread is for
