    Johnny Cash.

Bizzy Bone, Wish Bone, Layzie Bone, Krayzie Bone, Flesh-n-Bone, these guys combined to make some of the best vocals in hip hop/rap.
Absolutley love Bone, they were/are fucking great. I miss the fact that they’re aren’t a whole lot of rap or hip-hop bands anymore. That genre could use a kick in the pants IMHO. Don’t even get me started with all the lame collaborations over the past decade plus (looking at you to, Mr. Mathers).

Also great one/two punches: Gilmour and Waters.

Wanted to be fair to both male and female vocalists in my list, but it was difficult to narrow it down to five each, so I did top tens for both:

    Bilinda Butcher (My Bloody Valentine)
    Debbie Harry (Blondie)
    Elizabeth Fraser (Cocteau Twins)
Florence Welch (Florence + The Machine)
    Jenny Lewis
    Julee Cruise
    Margo Timmins (Cowboy Junkies)
    Mimi Parker (Low)
    Ruth Radelet (Chromatics)

    Male:
    Alan Sparhawk (Low)
    Alexis Taylor (Hot Chip)
    David Bowie
    David Byrne (Talking Heads)
    Jack White (The White Stripes)
    Jónsi (Sigur Rós)
    Kurt Cobain (Nirvana)
    Thom Yorke (Radiohead)
    Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails)
