I normally show up super early to line up, but I called The Joint today to see what they had planned. They said security won't let anyone line up until 1 hour before doors open. They said that because it's sold out, MAYBE an hour and a half or so. Anyone else hear anything similar? I planned to make the four hour drive early to get there and wait, but if they won't let us until 7pm...

That was my thought too. I figure we'll be lined up in the casino area or somewhere nearby. If it's anything like Wave Goodbye in Chicago, that'll be a crap ton of people to have hanging around unorganized.

Got all of my stuff booked - staying three nights, 19th through the 22nd, staying at the Luxor. I'll be at the KMFDM / ohGr show as well as the Tobacco / NIN show - should be a fun vacation!

I'm up to meet with the group once plans have been made.

Eh, I saw them play for over 3 hours at the Wiltern in 2009, and it wasn't really... I mean it didn't... okay, I can't lie it was the best thing ever.

Oof, that's gonna be rough. I've been to eight NIN shows but I've never gotten rail so I was gonna make a conscious try for it this time, but I'd rather not deal with a late-lineup madhouse. :<

It was similar in 2013 in that the Joint did not want people hanging out in line. However, for that tour there was a wonderful NIN rep who ran the presale checkins and she showed up very early in the morning and gave out wristbands (apparently knowing of the issue). The remaining wristbands were given to the ticket counter to give out apparently. Then when time to line up came, presales got in line according to the numbers. Unfortunately, I don't think the band has staff like that last tour, so I don't see that happening.

Sounds cool, I'm a native and have balcony seats, I don't need to get in line or get a wristband. I was going to try and get there around 4 pm. I am hoping that the merch both is on the outside of the venue so I can buy a few things and just leave them in the car. I really doubt they are going to let you leave the Joint once you are inside. Re-entry can be a security risk.
I would like to meet some of the members PM me if you want meet up.
