So I went to the Bakersfield show. I'm expecting the exact same setlist for Vegas but really hoping for 2 new songs. I was thinking how fucking rad it would be if they debuted Not Anymore! If you could request one song from NTAE or AV to be played at this show, what song would it be?
Yeah, I love that the spaced out shows have allowed them to rehearse and slowly introduce more songs from the EP, with She's Gone Away debuting in New York and The Background World in Chicago. That only leaves four songs from the new EP's which haven't been played live. I kind of feel like This Isn't The Place will never be played live, and I'm totally okay with that. Dear World, and The Idea Of You both have talky or whispery vocals that might not translate into a live setting, but I'd love to see how they'd do it. That leaves Not Anymore as the only one that seems straightforward and simple enough for them to do, so I'd say it's the most likely to make an appearance next weekend or in Houston. I would want Trent to sing the chorus, though, unlike with Branches/Bones where he just lets the other guys do it and chimes in a little.
Anyway, in answer to your question, I'd love to see The Background World live more than any of the others on the new EP's, but if we're sticking to one of the EP songs making its live debut, I'd be most interested in seeing them take on Dear World,.
Has an opening act been announced?
As for new songs...I'd love to hear Not Anymore followed by The Background World. I love the combination of those 2.
I want deep cuts at this show. Bring on "Big Man with a Gun," "Last," "The Only Time," etc.
How long until they announce an opening act?
Safe bet that it will be Tobacco.
No, "big man with a gun" needs to stay home that night for obvious reasons imo.
But I'm also hoping the background world is played. It's my reason for wanting to go to this show. I saw the video from riot fest and decided I MUST experience it live.

Ticketmaster accident? Double posting this coming week's show, or a fuck-up to a surprise appearance at a radio station show?

But if you look for the actual Holiday Havoc pages, these are the two lineups for each day:
I'm thinking it's just an error on TM's part, but better to post it than not. Sleuths...time to dig!
I'm bringing a dozen or so Blu rays of Another Version of The Truth to hand out. I would have brought more, but my route isn't exactly direct this time.
Also, I still have GA ticket at cost left. Let me know if anyone's looking
Hi all, first time posting here. I'm looking to sell two GA floor tickets to the Vegas show as I was going to travel from Toronto but my plans changed.
Willing to let these go under face value - send me a DM if you're interested with an offer. We can deal through paypal/i'll send you the pdfs.
Thanks and enjoy the show for those attending!
First time poster here. Looking to meet up with some NIN fans before the show as I'll be in Vegas pretty much all day with nothing to do.
On a side note, I've noticed that many tickets are available on StubHub... Maybe I'm just being overly paranoid, but is there a chance this show will be postponed?
We are a little more than two weeks from the Las Vegas shooting and the city itself is still in shock from those events. The casinos in Las Vegas are reevaluating their security and surveillance practices. The reason I bring this up, is just to give everybody a heads up on what to expect Friday night. Even though this is an indoor event the casinos are stepping up security with regards to concerts.
You can expect to be frisked, possibly metal detectors when entering, if you leave they are not going to let you back in and even though marijuana is legal for recreational use in Nevada the casinos look at it the way the Federal government looks at it.
As somebody that works in surveillance for a strip property, security is going to have very little tolerance for any mischief or events out of the ordinary. If a security guard asks you to do something just comply and do what they ask of you because if you get thrown off the property you will be tresppassed (which means if you go back on to the property after being thrown out they will arrest you and you will be spending the weekend at CCDC). Security for the hotels and casinos goal, at a concert is to ensure everybody is safe so that everybody can have a good time.
However two weeks out from what happened in Las Vegas, security is going to be very strict on rules and policies.
I am only posting this to help you and not to scare you, but you are going to have to expect a stepped up security presence Friday night. I know how concert goers can be and all I am saying is don't mouth off to the security guards because they will throw you out and they won't care if you have tickets to the concert. (I see it all the time)
I will be attending NIN Friday night, and I hope everybody has a great and safe time. Just in case somebody wants to speculate I do not work surveillance for the Hard Rock Hotel or Mandalay Bay, but I can't tell you which one I work for, I probably shouldn't have said this much. I just want to see everybody have a good time without incident.
I hope you all enjoy the show.
Oh shit. I forgot about recreational weed. I definitely need to hunt that down. Just being able to walk into a store and buy weed is an experience I need to have in my life.
I WOULD LIKE FOUR MARIJUANAS
I am down for signing the journal.
I now have an extra ticket for the Nine Inch Nails show this Friday in Vegas. I also now have an extra opening for our suite on Friday, and 2 open spots still for Saturday. That doesn't include couch spaces, which can fit more.
If you want a ticket, or know someone who's looking, let me know. Selling mine for $101, that's the price of the ticket with tax included. Feel free to share this info with friends, so that they don't go to waste.
Down for meeting. I get in early Thursday afternoon and leave Saturday morning though, so it would probably have the be Thursday afternoon/evening!
I have no idea what to do with my time on Thursday and Friday besides drinks and lining up... I'd like to meet up with people if anything gets set. I also don't really "know" anyone from the forum (posted a lot more back in 1.0...), but if anyone else is bored, hit me up!
So let's talk details on meeting up during the day Friday. Anyone have any suggestions on a place? We could find a bar close to the venue, but that can get expensive if we want to spend a few hours there. Does anyone have a place to stay nearby and wouldn't mind housing a handful of lovable blackshirts?
Anyone interested in a pair for this show for only $120? Half price basically - floor tickets.
Message me if interested.
i'll be in vegas on thursday as well (KMFDM that night)
Okay, gang, to make this whole meetup thing easier, I've had 600 of these made up for us and will leave them at the front door (of Las Vegas). Grab yours and wear it to the KMFDM show, the NIN show, and around Vegas all weekend so we can easily spot each other. Cheers!
