so that's just a single, right? not a whole album?

that artwork is going to confuse/piss off a lot of hardcore metalheads hahaha

Single. Tomorrow, though reportedly already up on New Zealand iTunes...not long now!

I really like the new single, but it immediately made me long for the older Fever Ray sound - so I took a couple cassette decks, sampled some of the teaser vids, threw in a touch of synth, and a field recording to make a version of the new song - To the Moon and Back (Hologram Cassette Version)

I know it's probably just to help sell more copies, but just seeing "...is one half of The Knife..." makes me wish, lol. I know they never out and out said 'The Knife is dead.' but I'd love for like a year or so from now to see the first 'something is happening with The Knife' articles lol.

the deluxe edition vinyl descriptions are different between Mute (face mask, bespoke foil packaging) and Rabid Records (blood red gel outer sleeve) which is unfortunate because rabid doesn't ship to the us or canada. hopefully its the same edition for everybody:

ALSO: Fever Ray will embark on a live tour in 2018!

Whole album is out there now. I just listened to the "Air Horn Edit" of To The Moon And Back. My thoughts while listening: "what the hell is the difference? It sounds the same as the orig... AHAHAHA"

Red Trails is fucking beautiful. Woah. Some of her best vocals. This is a great and beautifully colorful, human album that takes constantly synthetic noises and manages to make all of them engage the senses and remind you how alive you are.

Listening on Apple Music now. Not yet available on Spotify.

This is really, really good. Great production on the tracks, and Karin's vocals are fantastic. Haven't heard any of her signature voice modulation effects yet.

This is literally an album I thought would never exist. I genuinely did not expect there to ever be another album from her. This is unbelievably exciting!!

Really digging the album. Probably listened to A Part of Us 50 times already. Full version of To the Moon and Back is beautiful 😍

it's so much better than the single edit. it actually has time to build before the vocals come in and it flows so well within the context at the album. haven't finished the whole album but, so far, the only song i don't love is "IDK about you"

I think IDK About You is one of my favorites. The only song I'm not super in love with (yet) is This Country
