Unfortunately it sounds more like HM than NTAE. Trying way too hard for a pop hit again. Sigh.

I disagree, out of context it sounds way more layered than HM minimalist approach.
We shall see, I just expect a lot of noise and this song will probably be the most "radio friendly" out of the 3 eps.
Have you heard pop music lately?

The first 30 seconds or so, no doubt, but the vibe changes quickly.

Looking forward to listening with my nice headphones tonight at home!

I was talking more about the level of complexity/creativity rather than "vibe". It's super repetitive, and the while it's layered, the dynamics feel really predictable. It also feels over-produced and there isn't anything really novel about the song.

I appear to be in the minority though, so I will shut up for now.

Well, the description for the EP is: "ADD VIOLENCE finds Nine Inch Nails becoming more accessible and impenetrable at the same time. The sonic palette expands significantly from Not The Actual Events,", so you may be correct, he might've picked this song because it is fairly straight forward and "accessible".

I'm at work, so I'm listening on some shitty headset, so I'm going to hold judgement until I get home

    I am with you.
To me this song even is a bit disappointing.

It's relying on the "catchy NIN song"-formula.
Nice Synthie, and it sounds fresh (or Retro). But actually, all in all, it really is predictable.

I don't want to be the killjoy, but of course personally I liked every single track on NTAE a lot more.
But also every Song on HM. Including "Everything" actually. Both songs are cheesy. But this one is even more generic.

Neither do I, but Beats1 is a free live station that you just have to use iTunes to access, I think, so I'm listening anyway.

Not sure what I think of this trend of Trent to have a partial sentence as a song title, "Copy of A", "Less than" etc.

Cool tune, accessible but in a way like THTF which I love

If this music wasn't so bad, I would swear this was a Gunship video. Very cool.

A proper music video, VHS/vaporwave nostalgia visuals, political references, gothy clothing packages -- I think I'm gonna like this EP

Heh, I was actually amused that the video itself features plenty of analog CRT closeups of the game. Lots of visible pixels, etc. Rob may be gone but apparently it'll be awhile before that aesthetic's out of TR's system.
