    Atomic Blonde

I noticed that there is no thread fro this movie yet...

    Stellar trailer:

    Based on this graphic novel:

Comes out July 28 in the US. I really think this has the potential to be a phenomenal movie!!!

Dam, this trailer came out of nowhere about a week or two ago for a special tv spot and I was instantly intrigued. It looks fun as hell, and bad-ass to boot. ^^^ Thanks for that graphic novel post; had no idea it was based off of one. 2017 is turning out to be one hell of a year for films.

Why isn't anyone talking about this movie? The fight scenes are fucking badass throughout the movie and the soundtrack is good as well.

I really wish i had seen this instead of Dunkirk to be quite honest.

Typical poor life choice on my part.

As for this weekend it's Valerine and the stupidly long title.

TOo many movies in too short a time period. Dunkirk, Valerian, Spiderman, Atomic Blonde, Baby Driver, Apes 3. Something's gotta give. and for me its this one until I can watch it at home.

I spent the entirety of the movie either cheering on Charlize during the fight scenes or mouthing song lyrics. I'm been obsessing over HEALTH's cover of "Blue Monday".

I really loved the movie too! The whole eastern east/west Germany setting is pretty close to my heart (I was a child living in Hungary when the wall came down and remember it very well), even the cars on the streets reminded me of my childhood. Fuckin' Trabants everywhere!!!

So yes, great movie, great action and soundtrack!

I enjoyed the movie thoroughly, although I will always hold it against this movie when I think of "BlKKK SKKKnhead" every time I hear "Personal Jesus"

Charlize Theron was great in this movie. I heard she did all her own stunts and lost a couple teeth. I also loved the soundtrack.

Jesus, I liked that moviequite a bit! It's somewhat shallow in it's political thriller aspects and the twists and turns are a bit off, but the action and atmosphere are top notch and I'm not even that much of an 80ies music fan, but this was a fun ride and overall enjoyable movie. Not a masterpiece by any means and not as good as John Wick but definitely comparable and sharing some of the same DNA. Only gripe I have is that the German was again very sloppy both in writing and speaking. It shouldn't hurt to find someone speak proper German in the US to quickly go over some lines and some text. Either way Theron is looking gorgeous in this and seriously throws some neat punches. Having her play some amibigous roles is actually working really well, just like it does for Keanu Reeves. These movies suit both of them very well.

Some missed potential overall, but I still would like to see it again.

That was a tremendous disappointment in an otherwise entertaining film. I heard the start of Stigmata, and was so thrilled that I told Melissa, "Ha, that's Stigmata!"

And then the drums didn't sound right.

And the guitar sounded neutered. "Oh man, shitty cover. I wonder who did it."

The credits roll, and it was Marilyn Manson? What a shame.
