    The War On Drugs

I didn't want to like this band, or think it would happen, but it did.

    Example #1:

    Gorgeousness aches.

That entire album is beautiful (sometimes a little slow). See them live if you can, they're even better.

I wasn't a fan of most of the released songs besides Strangest Thing, but they work so well in the context of the album. It's very good, probably better than Lost In A Dream IMO in total (although nothing can beat Red Eyes or Under The Pressure for me).

Yes, "Red Eyes" (an absolutely incredible song to ride your bike to), "Under The Pressure"...but also so much "Eyes To The Wind", "In Reverse", and "Disappearing".

I'm surprised "Strangest Thing" was the only new one that hit you. I wish I hadn't played all 5 pre-released songs so much (or that they put that many out!). Naturally I'm going through the the process of "leveling up" the others... It's kept me from feeling like I'm experiencing the album as one. It'll come though.

"Knocked Down" & "Clean Living" were/are my immediate new favorites. :')

I hate to say it, but I hate the album cover. I guess I was ignoring it at first, but it's a really poor choice. -__-

Yeah this album is just fucking stunning. Not one filler track on the entire thing, which is a first for this band. Just absolutely incredible song-writing on this thing.

I'm halfway through and I'm already calling this as album of the year. Seriously great stuff.

I fucked up not pre-ordering the deluxe box set...I hesitated before my work shift just the other night. I don't NEED all that stuff, but it turns out that this album is worth all the marbles.

Limited Edition Deluxe Box Set is back (click the image)!

I read somewhere that there are at least 350 copies put back in stock. I nabbed one!

    1. In Reverse
    2. Pain
    3. An Ocean in Between the Waves
    4. Strangest Thing
    5. Comin' Through
    6. Nothing To Find
    7. Knocked Down
    8. Time To Move On (Tom Petty cover)
    9. Buenos Aires Beach
    10. Red Eyes
    11. Holding On
    12. Under The Pressure
    13. Eyes To The Wind (the structure was off so they scrapped it halfway)
    14. Burning
    15. Eyes To The Wind (alternate/acoustic version)

Incredible show. The mix was so loud and crisp. I pretty much bawled for the first minute of "Pain".
