I found out that his name is Alex Lieu, the guy from 42 Entertainment. He directed videos for Survivalism and This isn't the place (some people has noticed that already).

The official NIN accounts on FB, IG, & Twitter have different snippets of a live rehearsal performance of “The Lovers.” It looks crazy cool & hopefully the full version (plus more songs?!) will surface in due time.

thats my favourite on both of the EPs and I really hope it comes back to the live set. My big worry is by the time they get to Europe god knows when next year a lot of the cool new stuff will be stripped from the set, just like I never got to hear Black Noise on the last tour, or Satellite, All Time Low, Various Methods and they never released the Blu-ray either

Actually a lot of these rules are pretty well followed in the art community. I've personally followed a lot of these rules myself when working on projects, sometimes inspired by TR's approach to NIN as he;s described in interviews. Limiting your options is a great one.
So yeah, I guess the answer is ME. He's a pretty bright guy and articulates his process really well. Makes sense.
