31 Days of Prince

We had 29 Days of Bowie so it's only fitting we devote next month or so to Prince. Who's with me?

Are you counting the downloadable albums & NPG albums? and side projects like Madhouse, or albums like Xpectation, The Chocolate Invasion, or Slaughterhouse or C Note.

For real, this motherfucker was too prolific. I think we should really figure out if we want to try and cover all album-length releases or just his main albums, and if we want to maybe condense some discussions into the same day or if we should do all of them a day at a time.

And personally I'm very cool with doing a day straight through the main 39 but it'd be cool to maybe condense a bit so that we can fit in some of the more noteworthy side projects. But I'm up for whatever everyone else decides.

The Madhouse albums 8, 16 he did in the time period of Sign O' The Times with Sheila E. I think should count
The NGP album Exodus should be considered
the C Note album Chocolate Invasion, Slaughterhouse, One Night Alone are albums that should be considered
Xpectation was a masterpiece

I think the best way to do 31 days of Prince, rather than go through the albums chronologically I think the members here should just post whatever they are feeling at the time. This way we can learn from each others knowledge of his music and turn on each other to aspects of his music that some of us might not be aware of. Thats my two cents plus maybe somebody might not be around for Sign O The Times day.

If you count NPG, studio albums come to 39. Madhouse would make it 41.
