Damn, I thought this thread was about...
Yeah they're great live...already got tickets for their show here in June. And yes, Palermo was convicted of aggravated assault and attempted murder. I actually got to hang out with them after their show here last year and it's so hard to believe this guy could've been capable of it...he's SO quiet and soft spoken and kind now...damn.
Anyone else manage to snag one of the copies of the new record that were used in the video shoot so they're all covered in paint splatters? Can't wait to get mine!
Yeah these guys are on my list, i need to check em out. Highlighted to me by the awesome Youth Code.
That's cool to hear. My job involves working with violent offenders on a daily basis, and not one of my clients would I ever picture playing in a shoegaze band.
I really dig Nothing's music, but I guess I had made some kind of assumption that they were assholes to their fan base, or maybe even just assholes in general, based on their close connection to Whirr. Am I way off on that?
blowing up alongside similar bands Pity Sex, Cloakroom & Cloud Nothings.
^^^ I would also suggest peers such as Title Fight, Citizen, Tigers Jaw, Turnover, etc... so much post-punk greatness is leaking from that East Coast scene
Their song "Bent Nail" is on this Relapse compilation that I have, liked that tune a lot.
Pity Sex/Nothing co headlining tour would be sweet.
Eaten By Worms? Sounds like a b-side from TDS or a subtitle for a remix (ala, Happiness in Slavery (Eaten By Worms Mix))
New track 'ACD'.
Getting a very Nirvana, 90's wall of sound vibe for this....good shit.
hearing it all together it's a perfect flow... strong fucking album.
Can't stop listening to Tired Of Tomorrow. Its been a stellar year for music, but this is a strong contender for my AOTY
it's good, but more mellow than I was hoping for.

New album 'Dance On The Blacktop' streaming in full over at NPR.
Never heard of these guys but always up for some new shoegaze. Checking them out now!
Binging their discography on Spotify and, wow, I love them! The new album won't be on Spotify until the 24th and I don't want to listen to the leak, so... I'll wait.
Blue Line Baby has been my favorite track so far...
Need to see them again live.
So I got the new album yesterday. My local record store had it a week early. My first impression is it’s a solid 7.5 out of 10. I still prefer Tired of a Tomorrow. The songs are good but nothing as memorable as The first 2 albums. But I am keeping my fingers crossed that it is a grower.
I really like the songs on Dance on The Blacktop, maybe even moreso than the last record, but whoever did post-production work, or lack thereof, on this needs the shit kicked out of them.
New album 'The Great Dismal' is due Oct 30th!
Pre-order thru Relapse Records: https://store.relapse.com/b/nothing

That black/blue/magenta/brown/bone splatter vinyl looks sweet as fuck.
New song is great, can't wait for the new album
