I’m confused. Last week’s episode was season 7, episode 9. This week should be season 7, episode 10, but it’s being uploaded as season 7, episode 11.
Anyway, this is the one called “Ofelia”. Daniel’s memory is really slipping!

I think those were two different scenarios? They just too closely followed each other.
You had Daniel playing the part, keeping up appearances for Virginia vs. Daniel legitimately going crazy in Morgan's Dam encampment and now it sounds like they're continuing to follow up on it.
Naturally, yes.
But if you're writing well, imho, you don't DO both of those scenarios.
You do one or the fucking other.
"OH, this dude's memory is fucked up. Look, it's STILL fucked up! Wow, that's hardcore!"
"But wait, SURPRISE, it was all a ruse. So SURELY we're gonna get some badassery out of Salazar. Except WAIT, just kidding. His memory MIGHT actually be fucked up. But MAYBE he's just having a hard time."
"but HOLD ON! It actually really IS that fucked up, for real!"
Dude, that's not good writing imho.
The execution was sloppy no doubt but i could kind of believe something like this happening eventually for his character, with his military past maybe it's like method acting one too many times and losing yourself along the way.
Psyche starts to fracture and you don't know what's real anymore, losing time and almost sleep walking through life. Is he having some kind of dissociative identity disorder? Or possible brain damage from earlier incidents?
Like maybe he mustered up enough of a ruse to be convincing and it ended up being one of the last straws for his mental state, all that commitment and mental energy to his innocent barber routine and then eventually it broke his brain on top of everything else.
Too much stress in the apocalypse, getting older in the apocalypse, military life catching up with him, near death experiences etc.

@thelastdisciple I mean yeeeeeeeeeaaaah...
But you're kind of going out on a limb. I'm more with the "bad writing" explanation.
I swear to god they had ghost showrunners in season 6: Kang, Gimple, SOMEONE, but they let the two idiots who gave us season 5 a BIT of control.
And I think they're slowly getting it all back.
To be fair, I've not seen any of 7B: we've kind of been digging like, waiting for 2 or 3 episodes to come out, and making a movie nite of it.
Oh man. Star Wars.
That's a deep topic to bring up. I'm still shocked by what they did to us.
I'm glad you have SOME coping mechanism. Some people turned to heroin.
The mental scars can be worse than the physical wounds.
In my case, they had to add extra pills to my psych med regimen after I saw the prequels, and more, still, after 8 and 9.
It's okay to talk about it. You're not alone.
@Erneuert episode 10 is Mourning Cloak, apparently.
11 is Ofelia.
Dude I'm really not sure what's going on with all of this, at all.
Like you, I don't have AMC plus.
Haven't been jumping on the files as fast as I usually do, but yeah. It's definitely weird.
I still haven't seen any of it! My wife and I have been on near opposite sleep schedules lately, and we only watch TWD stuff together.
It's ok, though, the sleep schedule bit: any and all work we've done has been from home since like 2014 or 2015, so we're basically just in the same room together 24/7...for 7 or 8 years.
If we didn't have these types of breaks, well, I might not be in the next Pirates of the Caribbean movie.
Oh, man. I could’ve missed “Mourning Cloak” and been better off for it. 90% filler. Fuck that episode.
lol, yep. Every episode from that season was solid AF. Like an early X-Files season.
Woohoo!
Spoiler: So long, Howard!
Still haven't seen any of it, but I still think Alicia becomes a running walker and it's sad as fuck

Glad John D. Sr. killed Howard, but wish he killed Strand as well rather than just knocking him out.
Sad that JD Sr. had to die as well.
Glad the little shit that shot Nick doesn’t have much time left.
This was epic:
Random thought: Madison being alive will probably shock the fuck out of Strand and that’s what’ll make him welcome everyone into the tower. And… Morgan or Alicia will kill him?
Another thought: just for one episode I want Morgan to put on his Snatch (real) accent for one second in an uplifting/joking moment before something big is about to go down.
”Alicia, what in the fuck ‘ave you gone an’ done ta your arm?!”
Anyone watched the new episode yet? @ickyvicky where are you?!
Good episode. Shit’s gonna go down next ep!
@elevenism, just noticed the “Ofelia” episode was Alycia Debnam-Carey’s directorial debut.
In last night’s episode Morgan asked her what she’s talking about and why she keeps saying she doesn’t have much time left.
Conversely, Lennie James directed the crappy “Mourning Cloak” episode.
Anyway, there are three episodes left of season 7. Next episode looks like the war starts and Strand invites only Alicia into the tower, then the invasion starts.
The final episode is titled “Gone”. Is that when Madison will show up? Let her see Alicia before she turns at least.
@elevenism that’s the scene.
