That type of stuff is generally frowned upon. I remember him mentioning in an interview about what type of music he plays for his kid, but it dealt with a relevant question. Any other time his family is brought up, he volunteers the info. Bedsides his family has little relevance to his sound track work.

If an interviewer had a day with him, they might raise it. If they have less than 30 minutes, they're not going to waste time on non-musical questions

Understood, yet still partially surprised for many fans, it is recognized as a major step in the artist's life and is to an extent of interest

And yet there are many artists and celebs who keep it totally private. He's allowed that much without question and people need to respect his decision to do so. I admire him for that.

Plenty of people have a family. Its not out of the ordinary. What is out of the ordinary is this dude's creativity, and honestly that's what I want to hear about. Thanks shreena for the recording of the interview and thanks sheepdean for the transcript. Does this feel like deja vu? It was this time or a little earlier last year that it was all heating up for TSN and it feels like here we go again, in a good way - its going to be interview city, and reviews in every rag out there.

Thanks from someone on a handmedown ancient blackberry on someone else's phone plan, I was having trouble hearing it, but wanted to know the details.

Hmm, so he'll be *writing* NIN next year, that's interesting. I wondered whether the first thing he'd return to would be the Fragile re-issue.

I wonder if the natural thing to do would be to combine HTDA and NIN into one performance and tour with that in some form.
