    New Order - Dream Attack

    Nothing in this world
Can touch the music that I heard
When I woke up this morning
It put the sun into my life
It cut my heartbeat with a knife
It was like no other morning

I don't belong to no one
But I want to be with you
I can't be owned by no one
What am I supposed to do?

I can't see the sense in your leaving
All I need is your love to believe in

    Don't look into the sun
It's not for me or anyone
To steal the light out of the sky
Is it really such a sin?
'Cause if it is then I'll give in
I can't live without your love

I don't belong to no one
But I want to be with you
I can't be owned by no one
What am I supposed to do?

I can't see the sense in your leaving
All I need is your love to believe in

And for you I would do what I can
But I can't change the way that I am

oddly enough, even after 22 years, broken is still one of the most "comforting" for me.

Yeah, you know, when I fly alone, I'm sometimes a nervous flyer and one of my favorite CDs during that situation is TDS. It is a nerve-calming distraction for me. Except this one time I was praying that the plane would take off safely at the same time that "Heresy" was playing, that was kinda funny.

    kinda ironic, lol.
i am one of those paranoid androids that would've bolted down the aisle screaming "let me off! it's a fucking sign! open the door!"

Really any of the American Recordings sessions, but this one in particular, just always feels like a warm blanket. Mostly great in times of loss, and really reaffirms my faith whenever I listen. Lots of hope, and takes me back to being a kid, being in church with my grandmother.

I almost forgot about this song. It just clicked with me as soon as I heard it for the first time in a comforting way. And after seeing that I've already made two posts before this one, I suppose I'll just leave it at this post until, or if it ever gets bumped again. (Or should I get the desire to post more songs that comfort me after just that.)

I've listened to this pretty much daily for the past 3 weeks. One of the most achingly beautiful and haunting songs there is. It might not be everyone's idea of 'comforting', but it's been helping me get through a lot of stress lately.

It's the music video that actually sealed it for me.

Nobuo Uematsu - Anxious Heart. (From Final Fantasy VII Sountrack)

One of my favourite songs ever. I can't really think of any others which give me the same feeling when I hear them. It is a sort of mix of nostalgia, warmth, sadness and peace all at once. There are a few other beauties on the same soundtrack, but this one always jumps out as my favourite.

If I'm in the right sort of mood it has been known to bring the tears on occasion.
