Motley Crue announces Las Vegas residency, to the surprise of no one. That Denis Leary bit on them never gets old, this is proof why.

    Epic Noel Gallagher
"There are no characters left in the music business," he said. "When we first started going there was a healthy percentage of people, and we were all dirt-kickers from council estates, and we all couldn’t believe our luck that we were at the Brits. You go in now and everybody is a careerist. It’s very corporate, and you know what I’ve actually seen people doing at the Brits? Eating. I saw the drummer from Muse smoking an electronic cigarette. A cigarette with a battery in. I had to say to him: ‘Really? Really? Is that where you are at? Do me a favour, mate, either have a proper one outside, or don’t have one.’ It lit up green when he had a drag of it. Nonsense. He said that immortal line – ‘Oh you know how it is, mate’. And I said ‘I’m sorry, mate, I actually don’t.’"

Austrian Death Machine mastermind Tim Lambesis claims that he has locked in a cameo from The Man Himself, for the upcoming album...

Seeing this news, made me want to go check this out, its been awhile...

I really dig the track "I am a cybernetic organisim..." too, with its Fear Factory-esque chours. "Who told you you could eat my cookies?" is another good one

When Jeff Mangum played in St. Louis, those tickets sold out within an hour. I'm sure trying to get tickets to these reunion shows will be downright insane.

How the music industry could learn from TV. Very interesting take on what's going on now, and how it could possibly survive.

Fucking Kanye West is at it again now with a guy in a wheelchair...

Wheelchair guy asked to stand up, gets awkward real fast.

Kanye wines about being a victim in this whole story.

I mean, if you don't want to apologize that's one thing but to bring that story up at your next show and call yourself a victim? I thought he was a pretentious jerk after the first video, now he's a total asshole.

Ke$ha is suing her producer, Dr. Luke, for sexual abuse among other terrible things. I'm not a fan of hers but shit like this angers me. People are sick these days. If what she says is the truth, then I applaud her for her bravery to break the cycle of abuse.

    Beat me to it.

Digital sales have never been able to cover the short left by album sales.
Now that Digital has peaked and albums are selling even less today, the industry is left wondering what to do next.
Talk about an industry with a complete lack of visionaries.

On the other hand, there's no easy solution.
In an economy where every dollar counts, the consumer has an option (though illegal) to obtain a product for free without real consequences, what can you really do about it?

The Black Crowes have split up. Back in 2001 when they were on tour with Oasis they played in Noblesville (outside of Indianapolis) on a Friday, and I always thought it would have been cool to skip school to see it. I still have regrets about that. Awesome band.

Well that wasn't entirely unexpected based on previous comments over the past year. Unfortunate, nonetheless. Still, they lasted 25 years. That's a lot longer than most bands go without any breakup. Perhaps they'll get their shit together someday.
