Clyde Stubblefield, GOD DAMN IT. The Funky Drummer is gone. His interviews in the movie Copyright Criminals were the best thing ever.

It made me sad, those interviews. The poor guy wasn't concerned about money; he just said he would've liked a little credit

I'm absolutely heartbroken. I love that man. Such a wonderful and versatile actor. He was a director too and he was good at it. I greatly recommend Frailty; a very underestimated thriller he directed and acted in.

Of all the praises coming in, I love this one from Arnold Schwarzenegger:

Bill Paxton could play any role, but he was best at being Bill - a great human being with a huge heart. My thoughts are with his family.
RIP Bill. You'll be sorely missed and you're gone way too soon.

In case you did not know: his most famous movie quote was improvised by him.

I had no idea he was a punk in Terminator too. Some of my favourite films

Bill was also the narrator of James Cameron's documentary Ghosts of the Abyss in which they dived to record extended images of the wreck of the Titanic. I like this more than the movie. One sequence in particular always stuck with me because it's the kind of thing that would happen to me: the dive to the ship (and back) took hours and the guys were stack up like sardines in the little Russian deep subs. After some hours, Paxton announced that he really needed to pee, right now; so the other guy just handed him an empty bottle. It's so funny and Bill was the first to laugh at it.

I'm going to miss him so much.

I think I'll always remember Bill Paxton for Twister. I watched it all the time as a kid. I still have that old VHS somewhere.

It was also great to see him pop up in Nightcrawler. And Frailty was good, though I haven't seen it since I was 16.

He was the main reason I watched the show even as the show started to go downhill.

This one hit me hard, which is becoming a semi-regular practice after last year. Paxton was truly one of the best of all time. I grew up watching him nail role after role, no matter how big or small it was. He will be missed.
