Sad day indeed. I'll be binge watching his filmography over the next few weeks.

Being the horror fan that I am, there is not that many movies that actually give me nightmares. The Exorcist is one and A Nightmare on Elm Street is another.

It's said that Alfred Hitchcock scared people out of taking showers. Wes Craven scared people out of falling asleep, a feat that will never be outdone.

Rest in peace sir and thank you for the countless nightmares.

These deaths are hurting me man. Dusty Rhodes, Roddy Piper, Wes Craven, and now Dean "Motherfucking" Jones aka Jim Douglas.

Beloved when he played, when he coached and of course for his way with words. RIP Yogi.

Coming soon, November 10th is the 40th anniversary of the sinking of the SS Edmund Fitzgerald. It was built where my Dad was born and raised. Every Mitten kid from back then knows the lyrics by heart. R.I.P. I think nobody but Great Lakes residents (all cities surrounding, in U.S. and Canada) truly understand their power and force, often much more powerful than any ocean.

Sorry for the double post but this one is huge, for those who are cinephiles and love the films of Yasujiro Ozu. Setsuko Hara at the age of 95: http://www.avclub.com/article/rip-se...-legend-228968

She was one of the best actresses of all time. Well, at least to me.

Oh wow, and I even looked through the thread to make sure nobody else had posted about it. Maybe I need to stop browsing the net before I've woken up entirely...
