    Planningtorock

You may not recognize the artist's name, but if you're familiar with The Knife's Tomorrow, In A Year album with Mount Sims, then you've heard Janine Rostron's musical ego, Planningtorock. I discovered her latest album, W, earlier this year from of all things, a Gaultier fashion show. (Hurrah for music i.d. apps like Shazam!)

Anyways, like The Knife and Fever Ray, Planningtorock isn't afraid to mix theatrics and pitch-altered vocals.

I've really been trying to appreciate this album more, but it's hard. I feel like she's now fully established her style, compared to her first album, but I think the composition is a bit less fulfilling. However, the atmosphere and ideas presented are fantastic.
