uh...resurrecting this thread just to vent for a second.

there are three things i NEVER want to see when i'm looking at porn:

1) choking - instant mood-killer for multiple reasons, but i also really don't like to see any kind of violence

From what I can tell 'Daddy' is from the Daddy Dom/Little Girl Sub lifestyle. A woman who gains emotional/psychological benefit from regressing to a younger state and a Daddy dom who plays a parenting role. I think this is distinct, as is the use of the word "daddy," from the ubiquitous step-sister/step-mom/incestuous stuff that is so prominently featured on pornhub... Which is nuts, most times you just have to mute the fucking thing or it's going to be real distracting. Like I would understand if it appeared every now and again as a niche interest, but from what j can tell it's like almost half the offerings a lot of the time. A mass realization of family dysfunction, and perhaps using sex as a coping mechanism. I love being called Daddy, or having one of my own. I often say that BDSM is like parenting between two adults, as a result of my experience with this. If submission is about letting go, one of the things inherent in that is "adulting" and letting someone else call the shots, if for just a few hours or for the rest of your life with that person. But that's from my perspective, and maybe the reason this sort of stuff is popular in kink/fetish porn. As far as more vanilla stuff, I think it's some of what I said, but without the depth.

I think it was based on taboo rather than actual interest or kink.

The "taboo" is appealing to people, in varying different degrees. Not just sexually but in general I think we are always drawn towards what we shouldn't be. Morals, empathy and sanity keep a good deal of us from wallowing in it, making us more rubberneckers at the human car crashes those who lack those things become.

there's a stereotype about straight dudes being obsessed with lesbians (which is both true and problematic, both as a "fetish" and as a stereotype) but people often overlook how many women are into gay men. for them, at least from the women i've talked to about this, it's less of a fetish and more of a romanticized thing (not stereotyping here, i promise). i also do know some straight women who almost exclusively watch gay porn, so some of them definitely fetishize gay men.
