Safe & Sound was okay, I guess. Got saved by the 303 towards the end. Randy is complete garbage though. Kinda bummed that both of these important French house music artists (along w/Daft Punk) are infatuated with this goofy 70's/disco/soft rock bullshit and taking all of the balls out of their music.

I really, really enjoyed Safe and Sound. It's still getting regular rotation around here. Randy was an okay track. Apparently they were going to make it a harder sounding track, but decided to strip it down instead. Would definitely be interested in hearing that harder version if it exists.

As far as the previous two albums go, I was all about Cross when it first came out, but now I kind of prefer Audio, Video, Disco.

I loved Cross, but definitely prefer Audio, Video, Disco. Cross was kinda one dimensional sounding. Abrasive hard dirty funk soul noisy house music. Don't get me wrong, it did that sound well. But I feel Audio Video Disco is a much more diverse trip with peaks and troughs. So far, I am not too thrilled with the two new tracks. Here's hoping they work better within the context of the album. I was worried if they could pull off another great album after two stellar albums. They definitely stacked the cards against them. After albums like Cross and Audio, Video, Disco where do they go from here?

Listened to the new album a few times now and I have to admit that it's better than I expected. And better than I thought after the first listen. If Audio Video Disco was a homage to late-70s rock music, then this is a homage to late-70s pop and disco music. If you're fine with that and like the typical Justice formula for song writing, then this album is for you. I especially like Pleasure, Fire and Stop at the moment.

For those who have listened to the singles: In my opinion, Safe & Sound is among the strongest and Randy among the weakest tracks of the album.

Alakazam!, Chorus, and Heavy Metal are standouts for me. But I quite enjoyed this album Definitely their poppiest. I actually did not like Randy as a single when I first heard it, but enjoyed it within the context of the album. Strange when that happens. But each album has their own feel and I love all three in their own way.

I saw Justice live yesterday, at a festival in Mexico. Fell in love with them! How would you rank their three albums?

    JUSTICE - WOMAN WORLD WIDE
    Coming August 24th, 2018

Justice have released two studio versions of their current live reworks for "Pleasure" and "Stop" as singles. After last night's live stream of their performance at Google I/O 2018, the image above came up on the screen. Looks like the Woman World Wide live album will be arriving on August 24th, 2018.

The record follows 2016's studio album 'Woman'

Justice have announced the release of a new album, titled ‘Woman Worldwide’, which features reworked versions of old favourites.

The French duo last put out a record in 2016 with ‘Woman’. In a four-star review, NME called that album “joyous” and full of “hope and optimism”.

Now, Xavier de Rosnay and Gaspard Augé have confirmed a new record is on the way. ‘Woman Worldwide’ will feature reworked tracks from throughout their catalogue, including cuts from ‘Woman’. While the album’s format is that of a studio album, it was recorded in the same way that the duo perform live.

'Woman Worldwide’ is set for release on August 24 via Ed Banger Records and Because Music. The tracklist is as follows:

    01 Safe And Sound
    02 D.A.N.C.E.
    03 Canon x Love S.O.S.
    04 Genesis x Phantom
    05 Pleasure x Newjack x Helix x Civilization
    06 Heavy Metal x DVNO
    07 Stress
    08 Love S.O.S.
    09 Alakazam! x Fire
10 Waters Of Nazareth x We Are Your Friends x Phantom 2 x Alakazam!
    11 Chorus
    12 Audio, Video, Disco
    13 Stop
    14 Randy
    15 D.A.N.C.E x Fire x Safe And Sound

Justice made their name through remixing tracks by the likes of Klaxons, U2 and MGMT, and broke through with their 2006 reworking of Simian’s ‘We Are Your Friends’. They have released three studio albums so far, and two live albums.

Justice set to give free production webinar via ‘Mix With The Masters’

Unlike the Atticus Ross video, it looks like this will be available to everyone (provided you give them your e-mail address).

I avoid comparing them to Daft Punk but this album it's clearly their Random Access Memories.
