Well that just made me throw up in my mouth. I felt like I was being punked. At least now I know I can bring my 8 year old little girl to a NIN concert.

this new song is terrible. I can't stand behind this.

it's like, all the wrong parts of "God Given" + "Disciplined" combined into one uber terribad song.

I kept hitting f5 so the forums would come back up so I could post this; my disappointment can barely be contained.

Fucking awesome song. Zane is a fucking tool. Wow that guy sucks...

There is your 'drilling guitars' that some people have been complaining about missing. Cant wait for this album even more.....

A happy-sounding song in a NIN album. Didn't see this one coming, I liked it, but I think Disappointed, Find My Way and Copy of A are better.

Thank god ETS was down when that premiered. Let's just say I like it a lot more now than I did then. Good song.

I reserve the right to change my mind in the future, but as of right now I am of the view that "everything" is the worst NIN song ever (and by a large margin).

I've liked every other song played thusfar so one shit song isn't the end of the world, I just hope that the rest of the album is better.

Well that was... unexpected. I hope this is the point in the fall concert tour when trent and robin kick beach balls into the crowd.

I LOVE this new song. A little Cure, a little New Order, a little MBV, with just a sprinkle of Madonna's "Ray of Light" on top.

Might be the boldest thing Trent has attempted since, well....Year Zero.

Not the kind of song I expected on a NIN album but I like it. so what if it sounds a little 'happy'? I love the fact he can keep surprising you after all these years. It'll be interesting to see how this fits in with the rest of the album.

wasn't it noted somewhere that Everything was one of the "2 new songs" that he was originally going to submit to the greatest hits package? with that in mind, it kind of makes sense.

I'm sort of torn between quite liking the sounds and my bloody valentine-esqueness of the whole thing, and wanting to set my headphones on fire

mission accomplished, I guess? the only way to really be abrasive to nin fans...

Smiled from ear to ear while that was being premiered. 80's vibes all the way. Couldn't help but laugh though as this is gonna piss a lot of people off! Haha Trent, don't ever stop. Love it.

    The interview was fine.
Important news is that NIN will be back in Europe around april with about the same visual/show/arena tour

The song caught me off guard at first, but listening to it again, I kind of dig it. The lightness reminded me of the Zoo Station cover, which I really enjoyed. I'm sure its going to piss a lot of fans off though.

heh, the immediate hatred for new NIN songs always amuses me. Personally, I like it. We're also getting it out of context of the album, and I could see this being pretty cool live. Guess you can't please everyone, and I don't think Trent is remotely interested in doing that anyway.

This song is to my ears what the "Came Back Haunted" video was to my eyes.

Whoa, those verses are easily the poppiest thing Trent has ever recorded. When his vocal first came in, I was taken aback. The vocal melody is so immediate, it's weird. The chorus is decidedly noisy and unpopy, though. Interesting track. I don't know how I totally feel about it yet. It will help to hear it in full quality.

Yeah, I have to agree...this has taken the spot of The Collector for me...for some reason I had it in my head this was going to be a super-negative "everything sucks" song...not "everything is coming up roses."

Zane asked what went wrong at Pukkelpop. Trent joked that they sucked, then went on to explain about the daytime lighting interfering with the light show, and that most of the fans were there for Eminem and not NIN. He did clarify that he likes Eminem. (All paraphrased, of course.)

Well that was different. Didn't quite expect that. Hmm. Need to hear it in better quality/headphones.

And...oh yeah. The new song sucks. REALLY!
Is this the challenge as a musician to create such a song?
    I don't get this. sorry.
