Patient? They were released back on October 21st. How's that for patient?

I'm sort of a casual Korn fan, not a diehard, but the new disc is outstanding.

So these are the same as what's available on qobuz (minus the max sample rate)?

Yeah, looks like it. Different sites have different sample rates available. For example...
HDTracks has 24/96 and 24/192 while 7Digital has 24/44, 24/96 and 24/192 and Qobuz seems to just have 24/96

But I think I may have just stumbled upon links for all 3 releases in 24/192

So, I'm both surprised and not so surprised. For Follow The Leader, it is (of course) upsampled.

The surprising part is that the maximum frequency response is 40kHz across the board, meaning these technically could have been "capped" at 24/88.2

Not very surprised too, because when "Untouchables" was fresh, i read somewhere they upgraded studio gear to take advantage of recording and mixing in 96k, so earlier records weren't supposed to have that range.

Thanks man, found this post on GearSlutz using keywords from your post. Here's a snippet:

Jonathan Davis has also talked about this:

Davis would go on to use 96kHz when he recorded See You on the Other Side. Korn has officially released the 24/96 multitracks for the entire album and, when you put them all together, you get a nice, dynamic, non-brickwalled version of SYOTOS. Somebody has already done it, and it's "out there".

Multitracks also exist for Korn III: Remember Who You Are (24/48) and The Path of Totality (16/44). Two of the songs from KIII ("Holding All These Lies" and "Lead the Parade") had damaged lossless multitracks for a couple of instruments, but, luckily, the band had also released them in mp3, so I stitched the faulty parts together. Anyone who's interested may PM me for more info.

It's better than I expected it to be. Didn't even know it existed until I saw it on iTunes. A lot of sounds no different from korn. But, some of it is different and pretty cool. Having Wes Borland play on a few tracks is also a plus.

The Follow the Leader 20th Anniversary merch is up at the Korn store. Just ordered the limited red vinyl. God, I cannot believe this is 20 years old now.

Fucking fantastic lineup if you ask me, and I'm genuinely bummed that it's not coming to KC. Never ever thought I'd see Underoath opening for Korn on a lineup but, fuck yes.

This might be the lamest thing to ever happen, as far as "rock music" goes.

I mean, Head is kinda far out there with the whole "born again Christian" thing, and that's Huckabee's schtick, so, no real surprise there. Head's first solo album is a perfect example.

The bass player in me is like, "oh shit, he plays bass". Very cringeworthy. Not too surprising considering how much of a nut Head is.

What's sad is that Flush was one of the better songs from that album. Not to say that it was GOOD, just that it was better than some of the others.

I'd say, musically, that first solo album was pretty solid. Lyrically, yeah, it's pretty bad.

Oh yeah, the music was okay. Kind of generic but, not full Nickleback generic. Spot on about those lyrics though.

To be fair, though, he's not known or will ever be known for being a songwriter though. Probably why he went back to Korn. Might as well go back and play to his strengths.

    Flush!
All the puke I'm throwing up!
    In the toilet this sucks!
Not a part of growing up!
    Only spoils it

Life is boring, same old story,
Get drunk throw up, sleep all day
I am something, I'm not nothing
    I can't let myself decay

*someone put this to paper and sang it.
