It does, and is in the list - you're in the UK, you should surely be able to see that...

You'd have to study the history of Ibsen's Peer Gynt?

    I'd choose Ashkenazy:

If possible, I want to choose a high-quality performance that is as true as possible to Grieg's vision that is in the Spotify database. Whilst this playlist is purely for my own enjoyment, if I can get a track that is shareable, it would be much nicer for anyone who wants to use it.

But I come to the problem of I don't have 3 weeks spare to go through every result - should I perhaps go for a piece performed by a Norwegian orchestra for the recognition of origin?

I'm going for this one as the best Norwegian performance I could find

Makes sense. I heard he was out of the music biz all together after that Grey/White/Black or whatever thing failed to launch.

After seeing the HDTA rehearsal photo of Trent, I am dreading the idea of seeing him continue his relationship with hair dye. What's next, plastic surgery? Step away from the bottle, Trent. Impress us with your natural beauty. Carry a photo of Roy Orbison if you need a reminder. And stay away from Perry Farrell.

The new Paramore album leaked, the one with JMJ and Ilan Rubin on it. The end of the final track is absolutely mental and seems very NIN inspired.

This one? It's really not that bad.

Hasn't he been using black dye since forever?

His natural hair colour isn't even black, so I don't see the issue

I think that person meant that, at a certain age, the temptation to go from this to this gets bigger and bigger.

But, really, this red hair just doesn't belong in ROCK unless you're David Bowie. (Full Disclosure: I don't give a shit what he does with his hair, or with plastic surgery. Let your freak flag fly!)

I'm just old. And I hate that, in this youth-driven society, people my age try to hide it. It's an authenticity issue. I went gray this year and most of my friends said, "You look great! But I could never do it." Plus, I just don't think black hair looks good on older people. Especially men.

I interpreted the reinvention of NIN to reflect a more mature Trent. I thought it would include his look. I'll get over it.

This might be the tiniest, most inconsequential thing I've ever seen people bitch about on here.

    And this is ETS.

ha! I'm not sure why you're okay with a "more mature Trent" singing anthems of self-destruction and heartbreak he penned 20+ years ago, but the hair color (that he's been doing so long he's probably forgotten what its like to not do) bothers you.

either way, I love this thread for bringing the heavier red-headed Trent pic back into my life. win!

I was always under the impression it was brown. Honestly, I wouldn't care if he had blue hair. He'd still be Trent Reznor.

It's not really a reinvention until you change your name to a symbol anyway

I hope Trent stops dying it when he gets grey hair. I honestly think grey hair is awesome if you style it right.

He's not dying it black to cover up the grays, he's dying it black (I would assume) because he's been dying it black for touring since he became a musician. Look at any promo or live performance photo of Trent since he started NIN. Dreads, short, covered in mud, long, "emo", buzzed, his hair has always been dyed black. Not because he's hiding his age. Considering it's rare to find a photo of him with his natural brown (with red highlight in certain lighting), I don't see why this would ever be an issue. I mean, when he's 90 and wrinkly but dyes his hair black and it doesn't look right anymore, I could see questioning it.

It turns out that The Hand That Feeds transitions into Happiness in Slavery pretty well, for some weird reason.
