I think between "Before the Flood" and "Juno" that will probably wrap it up for "other things" for 2016.

I think there is more on the way honestly. This and Juno kind of came out of nowhere and without any real promotion or mention from Trent. I expected something Trent would be talking about a little more or hyping up. I was also assuming something would be out related to the new season of Twin Peaks. Maybe a new How to Destoy Angels track? Or maybe that will come later since it isn't airing until next year. I also kind of expect more soundtrack work for a bigger scale movie.
I'm not sold on new nin this year, but I hope it does happen. Ideally he would announce Year Zero got picked up by Netflix and Year Zero part 2 is on the way.
I really don't care about either of those things, and even though I wouldn't say no to a return to the YZ sound (not the singing though, in my opinion that's one of the least emotionally involved Reznor ever was) I really dread a YZ2. As a general rule I just loathe the idea of bands treading old grounds and revisiting old concepts. As stupid as it may be, the fact that Hesitation Marks has been stated to be a continuation of sorts from The Downward Spiral has somewhat diminished the work for me.
As far as series go, YZ was really heavy handed and I don't see it working on a series format without looking like another silly dystopia. It would need some serious rewriting. It kinda worked as a concept album as i left you to decide which part was metaphorical and which part was actually happening, but in a film format I can't see it working, unless we're starting with a drugged-up unreliable narrator.
