what an asshole haha
So is the Live in Phoenix promo an actual thing? Why does it not exist on Discogs? Why have I never seen a photo of it?
I roll my eyes every time this thread gets bumped too.
Anybody have a copy of that they could send over my way plz?
I think it's the show that was on MTV2, when they opened up for NIN during Fragility. Pretty sure that concert was in Phoenix.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
EDIT: Think I'm wrong, Phoenix was later in the tour according to NIN Tour History and pretty sure APC was only with NIN for like the first 10 dates or something. Not sure what arena that MTV2 footage was from then.

It was recorded during the Fragility 2.0 tour on June 4, 2000

Interesting choice for cover art...
I'm pretty sure I've seen an album cover of that show that looks like your typical promo disc cover (white sheet with some typings on it). Can't find it now.
Anyway, a perfect recording all around, with a few maynardisms included. I've had it in 192kbps for ages, can PM it to anyone interested.
This is my favorite part. I wish I was old enough to have seen Tool or A Perfect Circle at a time when you could tell Maynard had a real personal attachment to these songs. When he's talking about 3 Libras, you can tell it really affects him. "If this song sounds bitter, it's because it is, and I am." Good stuff. Same thing with old school Tool shows, where you can clearly tell that he's pulling deep from within to really emote those songs. As opposed to generally how he performs these days, just going through the motions. Singing, but not really singing.
Can anybody remember when the last time Maynard got emotional about a song on stage was? Either in performing it or even just speaking candidly about its meaning?
those early performances of Wings for Marie Pt. 1 & 2.
Just got out of the LA date for Maynard's book tour. Billy Howerdel was the moderator and during the Q&A someone asked about new APC songs. Both Maynard and Billy confirmed they have been working on it and that a tour will happen next year. Details for the tour will be announced later this week or the next. Maynard confirmed the May 7 date at the Hollywood Bowl.
What!?!?!?
Amazing news, seeing as Tool just released an audio clip of the first new music off their next album, as well..
Well, fuckin' A. I had the discography in rotation pretty heavily last week and was being wistful about their future.
Stupid thought: NIN/APC tour. Doubtful but wouldn't surprise me either. APC isn't the type that can fill amphitheaters and arenas.
Great, as if I didn't already have enough shows I needed to attend in 2017 already...
2017 is going to be hands down the BEST YEAR for music.
Billy says "more than a tour." on Facebook.
Please tour Europe, Please tour Europe, Please tour Europe
