There is rumor that the song is going to radio sometime today. I do hope it is true.
New APC? Yes please
Everyone's excited for new APC. I'm just sitting here waiting for that new synth heavy Ashes Divide album Billy Howerdel mentioned ages ago.
Didn't Billy say somewhere that the new APC has a synthy heavy Depeche Mode sound?
EDIT: Yes.
"A Perfect Circle guitarist Billy Howerdel mentions that the new album could be "a big departure from the first record and is influenced by a more Depeche Mode, electronic and 'dance-y' sound like material from the late ’70s and ’80s."
Howerdel also claims the new APC record will be out within 12 months. (As AP previously reported, the band recently signed with BMG for the album.)
That was April 28 so six months ago.

I guess this is going to mean Billy's singing half the songs.
eMOTIVe was painful, but I kinda liked the Ashes Divide album, so...I'm tentatively hopeful this will be OK, hopefully better than just OK.
the fact that he is talking about Depeche Mode makes me think he is referring to his People are People cover and saying there will be more of that kind of sound
I am purely conjecturing here, nothing more.
Personally I hope Billy does not sing on it, because I think if you have Maynard in your band you stay in your lane and don't take on vocal duties
Lead vocal duties, then.
the Ashes Divide album showed he's a competent, if unremarkable vocalist
but his vocal performance on eMOTIVe, he clearly wasn't ready for lead vocals, it's like nails on a chalkboard.
He's undoubtedly improved since then, that's why I'm not too worried either way. Also, my emotional investment in APC (largely thanks to their spotty output since 2004) is not what it was, so even if they pull another eMOTIVe, which I don't think they'll do, it won't be the end of the world for me.
That said, I'm pretty stoked there's going to be a APC full-length, and look forward to it with anticipation
lol is it really that controversial to say that you'd prefer MJK take all lead vocals in APC? I mean, I love Billy as a musician and he's been great the few times I've interacted with him personally, but... APC is 90% Maynard to me and 10% the music. Hearing that smooth dark dreamy melodic blend of MJK's vocals and music when I first listened to "Mer De Noms" is what me realize almost immediately that this band was something else and destined to become one of my favorite bands ever. It's also why Ashes Divide did nothing for me - because it's clear that despite APC being mostly Billy, MJK clearly adds a ton in the songwriting process and melodies.
So I think that some of us feeling that Billy has the greatest vocals isn't really the craziest idea. I mean, it's MJK. Almost anybody sounds lame next to him. I also don't think it's any sort of insult to Billy himself. He's clearly responsible for a lot of APC and it's not like anybody's demanding he should be replaced.
I want Chino to sing on all the tracks. Fuck Team Sleep.
Oh wait wrong thread. I want Maynard to sing on all the tracks. Billy can do backvocals.
Strap yourselves in.

I hope it's not like 11pm Pacific time.... And I hope it's not only a shitty Radiorip cause who in 2017 thinks radio is the best to reach as much of the fans as possible.
I'm sorry. I'm just REALLY EXCITED!!
Does anybody think Billy is like a fantastic singer? I've mostly only ever heard gushing over Carina's part in Puscifer. Personally after "Money Shot" I would consider Puscifer has having two lead vocalists and it's amazing. Carina is a genuinely great singer with great personality and great stage presence. Maynard has had a lot of people on backup vocals live over the years, but nobody has ever come close to syncing up and complementing and harmonizing in such a fucking gorgeous way.
Now if 50% of the songs on the next Puscifer album had only Carina's vocals I might feel a bit puzzled and in all honesty let down.
(I know you weren't asking me but I'm butting in.)
I do ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I don't actively dislike his singing, but I don't think he should be put anywhere near a comparison with Carina Round.
How is this a conversation? lol.
I don't think Billy is a fantastic singer, but I do find his voice to be a good complement to Maynard's and I have no issue hearing him on the albums. My point was addressed more to the line of "if Maynard is in the band, no one else can open their mouth". He's great, but that doesn't mean he's the only one who deserve a vocal mic.
