little thing that pisses me off: crushed ice. What the fuck is that shit for? I like to drink from cups without a cover and/or straw, so the shit acts as some kind of dam. Or it gets semi stuck, I tilt the cup and the crap poles over my face. And it seems to melt faster (un-scientific tests by me).

Cubed ice people (not to be confused with Ice Cube). It’s the only way to go. Fuck you, Subway.
i love crushed ice. i like to fill a cup with it and let the water fill in the gaps, and then it melts quickly but keeps your water SUPER cold, and you don't have to wait for big ice cubes to melt to be able to drink them. it's fun to eat, too.

with how frustrated i've been with the dogs i'm sitting and sarah being out of town for a work retreat (starting last night, she gets back friday afternoon), i was hoping to come home and be able to spend the majority of the day here relaxing...but of course i walk in to find that one of my cats (more than likely malcolm) has ripped open the brand new bag of popcorn kernels and strewn them across the dining room. he also got an old bag of microwave popcorn slightly open and then gave up (guess he didn't like the artificial butter flavor).

i just wanted to come home and relax and i know it won't take long to clean up but i'm so stressed that i'm on the verge of tears.

Nice. I almost never put ice in my drinks cause the cold kinda hurts my teeth, but now I have a better excuse. Instead of saying, "No ice for me, I have sensitive teeth" and sounding like some pathetic wimp, I can just say "No ice for me, I've read it most likely contains poo bacteria."

Don't you know that any ice comes with a 0.00000000000000000000001% of Hitler's piss?

Thank you! In a previous job I was a health inspector and for that reason I tell everyone to stay away from the ice machines.

But no one listens to me. Whatevs. Maybe I'm drinking sorta-cold soda but there's no mold in it.

My uncle creeps and messages MY friends on social media and feels the need to comment with his bullshit on posts I make. I shared an article about Black Panther making $1 BILLION dollars in less than a month, and he goes "This just says how many are in the black community! How much of that will go into pocket as apposed to helping your own out? Problem none just because they think everyone owes them a hand out."

    https://www.nytimes.com/2018/02/27/m...ther-stem.html

Now. PLEASE stop messaging my friends and telling them they're dumb for having piercings and shit like that. Damn. Grow up.

I like flirting, but flirting/consistent attention to my appearance in dynamics where you've made it explicitly clear to someone in the past that you aren't interested is... not my favorite. :/

I was in the Wal-Mart yesterday and this Mexican cowboy looking dude kept like coughing and saying "joto" and looking at me. Then he came up behind me and said " FAGGOT! " At that point, I dropped the shit I was looking at, turned around and said "fuck did you just say to me?" And i mean mugged him and started rolling my sleeves up as if to beat him or whatever. He looked fucking FURIOUS; his wife pulled him away.
The weird thing is that A.)I'm 100% sure I've never seen this dude before and b.) I was wearing blue jeans, combat boots and an NIN shirt. Yes, I have really long hair and 1" plugs, but I seriously don't think I had anything on that betrayed anything about my sexuality .
It was really, really strange. He looked SO fucking hateful.
And it REALLY pissed me off.

"THIS is when WE think so-and-so will become CAPTAIN AMERICA!"

"HERE'S what WEEE think about Spider-Man meeting Doctor Strange! Woahhh!"

"Did you KNOW that WAKANDA is important in the MCU???"

GROWN-ASS journalists writing all these speculatory "articles." It's just silly. Could you be trying any harder to fish for clicks and views? Would it be so hard to not write about the most nothing of nothing and maybe bring something new to your readers? Instead of picking a random internet comment and saying "oh yeah, I can center a whole piece around that, with next to no concrete information, and held up almost entirely by speculation. Don't worry, I got a C in my community college journalism class and have enough technical skill to put words over clips from trailers. I got this."

I can't stand the hype trains for blockbusters sometimes. ^^' Unfortunately, I know it also will never, ever change.

Facebook event RSVPs. I just can't get people to actually respond to them. I'm trying to collect other ways of inviting folks to things (email/phone) etc, but like, honestly it's kinda inconsiderate that people I consider friends aren't willing to reply yes/no to invites? It's not like it's a concert, it's for a small thing at my place and I consistently run into this issue where people just ignore it. Like, people I consider friends and who I'm pretty sure aren't actually disinterested in that, since they invite me to things/hang out with me elsewhere? It really gets to me, bleh.

trust me, I wanted to beat him. But my criminal record isn't pretty as it is, and a fight inside a Wal-Mart would have certainly drawn the ire of the authorities.
Aside from pissing me off, it was just so fucking bizarre.

It's "The People of Walmart" site ... I have pop-up blockers activated on Safari and Chrome so I never see such things... sorry

going into Walmart is like going onto a porn site with Windows 98 and no virus protection, no pop-up blockers, no nothing.

Personally I am in the process of letting FB go from my life, and I feel that's happening in general - not only because of the platform's shitty politics, but also because the site is now an unwieldy mess; so I these days I would never fault anyone, even if they have a FB account, for not being on there regularly or responding to invitations (given the amount of notifications it's possible to get during a day) or even messages, and if I need a direct response from someone, then I would choose email or phone if I have their contacts. Do you use Whatsapp? It has its faults (such as lack of privacy with regards to telling people when you're online or not) but I find it's more personable than FB.

i've been off facebook for a couple months and it's been a mixed bag for me. while it's nice to not get quite so stressed out all the time trying to discuss what's going on in the world and especially in this country, i don't know what's going on in my friends' lives. i feel very disconnected from people that i care about. but because of the way our generation works, i feel like i can't just text all the people i miss interacting with on a daily basis. i feel like that would be intrusive, unexpected, and unwelcome. i really only hang out with two people besides my wife, and we have a couple other friends we see on occasion. i thrive on interacting with people and i absolutely miss that aspect of it. which is part of why i spend so much god damn time on this website (hahaha...ha...oh god) and i'm so invested in people on here not being assholes.

All of the folks who I'm bothered about are pretty active on social media, and I even messaged them directly, and it turns out that 2/3 of the people who even were say they were going had made other plans/were planning on canceling. I'm just... bummed out and feeling demoralized. I don't know if I should try again in a few months or what. I canceled it and made a mopey Facebook post.

Yeah, it's like, I get it! It just makes it so hard to want to go through the effort. I'm gonna take a few weeks to come up with a better strategy and try again.

i had the mobile fidelity sound lab pressing of Into The Labyrinth by Dead Can Dance up for sale on discogs, and someone from poland placed an order for it. it says in my shipping policies to inquire about international shipping before placing an order, but that didn't happen, so i assumed this person didn't care too much about the cost. i've recently come to realize that shipping to most countries outside of north america costs $23.50, so i added $25 shipping to his order (to also cover the mailer), to which he responded "that's to match for me sorry" (i'm assuming he meant "too much") so i canceled the order and left negative feedback. it's the first time i've EVER left negative feedback for a buyer on the website.

the worst part is that as soon as he placed the order, i ordered the newer ($23) pressing of the album...which i now will have in addition to the older pressing. god damnit.

I also came to bitch about people who don't read the descriptions of things I'm selling online! Hahah.

Posted a bunch of junk for sale online and evidently just nobody can be bothered to read the information I provided. "Do the iPods work and how many gb?" Fucking. ALL of that information is in the description, dude. All of it. You are in college. Please use your reading skills so I don't have to answer 20 questions I've already provided answers to. Why is that so hard? Did I accidentally type in Chinese or something? I feel like I'm taking crazy pills!

Even if you ARE queer, it shouldn’t matter; having to explain yourself to some aggro wack job at CircusMart shouldn’t be necessary. They need more security at CircusMart.
