I wonder if they were trying for the "brown" note.
PS: I know about the jet engine noise from working in aerospace for over a decade. I had been warned about MBV & had ear protection from work.

So exciting! Pretty nice that everything's back on the streaming platforms again. Fingers crossed that new deal with Domino Records means a new record's on the way this year too. Pre-ordered the new vinyl reissues of mbv, Loveless and Isn't Anything from JB-Hi-Fi and they have these cool MBV themed guitar picks included as a special offer, which is awesome! Plus, they're premiering restored versions of their music videos up on YouTube.

If you want another Kevin Shields fix check out "Live in Japan" by Primal Scream. It was only released in Japan & Kevin was in the band for this tour. Adds to the mayhem in an excellent way!

I'm glad for both, i listen to music mostly at work and i always wanted my physical copy of "MBV", so this is great news!

so much for that coming out in 2019 like Robert Smith said it would lol. And 4:14 Scream.... and 4:26 Dream.... or the Wish reissue. Bloody hell.

Anyway I’m glad these are on streaming services now the convenience factor is always nice plus it can potentially lead to new people discovering the band so win win!

I still can't believe that they had a hype banner w/ a cryptic date, and on that day, we found out... Loveless and MBV are on Spotify.
You have to be kidding me. That's just fan abuse.

I am of course excited to hear these two new albums... which will probably come out around the same time we get the Tapeworm Special Edition vinyl box set.

I don't really see the comparison to The Cure w/ what people are saying here. Maybe I'm missing the reference, but they're a prolific band.... not quite on Prince levels, but they churned out a bunch of albums at a pretty consistent rate, even if the last one I actually really liked was Bloodflowers. My Bloody Valentine actually puts out an album like every 20 years.

I think the hype was moreso about the vinyl reissues than streaming. Those records have been out of print for years and going for hundreds on the aftermarket. But yeah, for someone who already owned all their albums on vinyl and digital, the announcement was pretty disappointing. But I'm optimistic that this is just the beginning of things to come, like new album(s) and maybe the EPs collection on vinyl. Fingers crossed.

I get your point, but the last album The Cure put out was in 2008 everything since has been reissues (which have stalled) and live albums. Nowhere near as scarce as MBV but I can still poke fun at it :P
