HTDA are finally listed on Columbia Records' artist page. Not spotting really, but it's taken a bloody while http://www.columbiarecords.com/

It's funny to see HTDA listed in the same context as Earl Sweatshirt.

I've decided that HTDA will have officially "made it" when there's an article that doesn't call them "Trent Reznor's band"

Still the Rez's band, according to my Xbox's music tab on the dashboard

Yes, my phones camera sucks, i know this.

Also, on that thing for Golden Voice, the cartoon guy underneath The Selecter reminds me of Trent after March of the Pigs or any song of that ilk.

Anyone else have two sets of download links (mp3/AL/FLAC) from Modlife? I'm guessing it's the 16/24 deal, but it would be nice if the links were labeled as such. If not, WTF?

Oh yeah, if someone could ask about audio/video taping for the current HTDA tour during the AMA tomorrow that would be swell.

If you bought both the CD and the vinyl in the same order, then that's most likely why. You get a digital download with each physical copy, even if they're in the same order.

How can Pitchfork, on one hand, keep capitalizing on Trent, reporting every single thing he tweets because they know it's bringing an insane amount of traffic to their site, and on the other hand, keep churning out mediocre reviews of the new albums repeating he's not relevant anymore?

Minor point... but doing their jobs correctly should also entail being accurate in their facts.

"Nine Inch Nails' Year Zero made its way into the world as part of a massive multimedia campaign that included a dystopian storyline, a video game, a remix album, an as-yet-unmade film and, famously, USB devices containing parts of the record left in European bathroom stalls."

The 'a video game' links to this...
    http://pitchfork.com/news/48417-trent-reznors-call-of-duty-black-ops-ii-video-game-music-gets-commercial-release/

It's typical of Pitchfork to try and sound smarter than they are and the review is no different. While I accept the critique and some good points are made, the author appears to have a preconceived idea of what should be on the album and appears disappointed when the album splays in various directions. Also, the apparent TR complex is embedded throughout (e.g., the first 2 paragraphs are dedicated to TR's doings over the past number of years). I would love to see what half these reviews would say given that TR wasn't attached by name. I bet we would see some change, both good and bad.

Yeah I really disagree with the review, but if it's earnest, then that's better than giving it a 10.0 just because they featured it.

it seems that grayson was listening to a different album than we were. i couldn't disagree with him more. is it deserving of a 10, maybe not, but IMO, it should be damn close. Comparing it to An Omen EP_ shows little comprehension as to the bigger picture of what Welcome Oblivion_ is. as some were saying on the boards, as stand alone songs, An Omen EP_ probably didn't deliver as maybe HTDA would have hoped, but in the context of Welcome Oblivion_, those same "re-used" songs as he pointed out, work very well and add to the overall feel and them of the world HTDA are painting.

musically, it's the best album I've heard in the past year, sans the new tweaker album and front line assembly's air mech instrumental album. Q's voice, for those who had any doubt, really rises to the occasion on this album and powerfully delivers the message.

and if this guy really new the reason why NIN was announced a few days short of Welcome Oblivion_ being released, he may have a different opinion as to trent using HTDA to relaunch a NIN tour and possible new album.

IYLSE is included on Ming and Ping's new mixtape http://mingping.com/free-download-mi...cy-jamz-vol-2/

They're BFFs with Q so it's not surprising really

An 15 (Maybe 10) second ad for Welcome oblivion just played in front of a YouTube clip I was about to watch. It was basically a clip from the video for The Loop Closes, followed by an iTunes link.

New York Times posted what appears to be the first non-glitched picture of the full band in their review http://www.nytimes.com/imagepages/20...PLAYLIST4.html

putting Closer up against Keep It Together is really not a fair comparison at all. if it was, say, Into The Void vs. How Long, or We're In This Together vs. The Space In Between i might have trouble deciding.
