"Nine Inch Nails and Soundgarden were recently left without an opener for their summer tour when controversial rap aggressors Death Grips went ahead and broke up ahead of the trip. Now, just a few days before the trek gets underway, it's been announced that electronic artist Oneohtrix Point Never, tech-metal crew Dillinger Escape Plan and dark wavers Cold Cave will split the opening duties throughout the summer."

sorry everyone… why would I have ever thought those dudes could keep it together?

If he wrote this, then chances are he'll never want for
acceptance. I can't wait to hear whatever his next project brings.

    Did somebody say GIFS

For real though, Fashion Week has some seriously fantastic beats on it. But a non-Ride album will never be as good as an album with Ride.

Quite cool that these songs are actually showing up in fashion shows lately.

As an album without MC Ride though, it surprisingly still 100% feels like a Death Grips album. They've proved that even without Ride's hyper crazed vocals, they're capable of keeping the exact same identity. I think the 6.5 or whatever that Pitchfork gave the LP is a tad unfair, because yeah it absolutely has some of the best beats they've ever done. I feel like they're sjust lagging the album BECAUSE it doesn't have Ride on it.

Not gonna lie, Fashion Shows are so fucking weird that it's actually super fun to get high and watch one. Adding Death Grips to that is seriously a blast, tho.

Oh man, this track is incredible. Never thought I'd hear such a melodic Death Grips track. Jesus, I can't wait for Jenny Death.

I cannot wait to get home from work and properly listen to this thing. And to top off the early release of JD, now they're recanting their "retirement".

Praying to the based god that they at least have a St Louis gig lined up for the upcoming tour. I will not miss them a second time.

This album is so loud. They've never sounded more like a hardcore band. I love it!

Too early to say definitively, but I can easily see Jenny Death/the powers that b being my favourite DG album. If this is actually their last project, I can see why they made the comment about "reaching their creative peak" or whatever. I think that's a pretty accurate description of this album. It has bits of every sound they've explored up until this point, as well as a sort of cool hardcore vibe like richardp said.

Pss Pss is hilarious, brought to mind the Ying Yang Twins' Whisper Song, of all things.
