I wish Glenn never gave the Misfits name away so easily back in the day, the legacy has been soiled in a major way with the crap Jerry has done since. I'm sure Glenn made a lot of money from it too.
Didn't the band made an ass of themselves back in 1999/2000 when they made appearances in WCW w/ Vampiro? What was that all about?

Much had to do with Doyle, he has wrestled in legit matches in the independent circuit.
I guess WCW approached them, the Misfits were perfect for the target audience they were looking in the 90's (Just like using KISS and Insane Clown Posse)
And just like many bad ideas the WCW had at the time, it didn't work...

I love posting in the Professional Wrestling thread! ...uhmm, wait a minute...

Well that came out of nowhere.

He should have announced it on Friday the 13th.

Which songs/albums do you feel particularly strong about, in this sense? I own pretty much all of the original Misfits albums on vinyl, but I'm not as familiar with them as I should be and have been meaning to amend that. I'll focus on the stuff you mention and work my way out from there..

The Misfits catalogue is pretty messy, there are multiple versions of most songs from different sessions and multiple compilation albums.

I like Static Age (recorded in '78 but not released until '97).

For Danzig, the decision to move forward with a reunion now is as morbid as one of the band's "hits from hell." "It's been a shock to see so many musicians dying this year," he says. "A lot of them weren't really that old. David Bowie's death came out of the blue, as did Prince's. And I've said it before with Peter Steele and Dio: If you're a music fan, you think these artists will be here forever, but you should enjoy them while they're here, because you never know what will happen. You've got to enjoy it and let it happen before everybody dies." Danzig laughs heartily, and he and Only add that they are in good health, as is Doyle. "My brother could be on the cover of every muscle magazine lately," the bassist says.

Edit: according to the US Nuclear Blast website it is limited to 1,030 copies.

Man, I wish this image was the proper album cover. So much better! @Space Suicide don't you think?

Yeah it is better but it doesn't match Bowie's Pinups cover as closely with this photo take. So I understand why it was done.

    Looks cool.

I wonder what Elvis Presley songs he's gonna have on that new album.

Fever and Always On My Mind are the only ones confirmed so far I think.

edit: I stand corrected. Apparently he also did Home Is Where The Heart Is, Is It So Strange? and Kentucky Rain.

He also recently did another duet with Cherie Currie (they did this after the cover of Some Velvet Morning) which could be an Elvis duet.

I think Dave Lombardo from Slayer is playing drums for the Misfits reunion shows.

Videos are being uploaded from the first performance, they sound great. Who's the extra guitarist? Lombardo is tearing it up on the drums.
