I never really got into Clutch the way I should have, but Neil Fallon is a damn great vocalist and with each album these guys are releasing they're growing on me. They've been here so often, but I never got so see them, although I had a perfect chance this time around but missed it. FML!
The new record sounds amazing so far, while blast tyrant remains my favorite so far. the mob goes wild will always keep me going whenever no other song is helping.
I like Clutch. But nothing touches those first releases, Impetus in particular, closer in sound to Helmet or Fudge Tunnel, than the boogie rock to come.
These days I enjoy Clutch in small doses: can't really hack a whole album or want to experience their mammoth live show.
