I don't know how I'm going to handle next week. A Lions win and a Packers loss gives the Lions their first division title since the early 90s. A home playoff game? And even a shot at a first round bye? I have to be careful about getting excited, or we'll go 0-3 the rest of the way and miss the playoffs completely, but still have a crappy low pick.

So. NFL predictions?
If Dallas can avoid having to face the Giants, i think we win the NFC and possibly the big game itself.
Patriots are favored, but the Steelers could be in there too.
Normally i'm a NY fan because they are in our division and we HATE Washington and Philly. edit: and dallas doesn't usually win the division anymore, of course)
However, sorry NY, but this year, i really need you to lose that wildcard game.

I think i'm gonna go with what some of the odds are saying and pick Dallas and the Pats.
And even though we have no idea what a Dallas/NE matchup will look like, i'm picking Dallas to win by a field goal.
(i HAVE to pick dallas to win, i am a lifelong, long-suffering cowboys fan who has been waiting for them boys to return to their former glory-the glory they had when i was 13 to 16 years old, for TWENTY YEARS. I took it for granted.)

No matter what happens though, they have been a LOT of fun to watch this year, and as long as Jerry Jones doesn't do anythng monumentally stupid, we've got ourselves a ball team now and can likely look forward to several sucessful years from our breakout rookie stars.
