Anyone watching the new HBO anthology series Room 104 from the Duplass brothers (the guys behind HBO's Togetherness)???Just saw the first episode and definitely not what I expected from them. It was really good. I don't wanna give anything away because I watched it without any idea what it's about. Holy cow, did it throw a curveball. You just have to watch it.

I'm binge watching Law & Order SVU and CI. I can't get enough Olivia Benson and Robert Goren. It's mad love.

one of my closest friends has a vibrator named Detective Olivia Benson, and another named Doctor Spencer Reid (from Criminal Minds). she's really into crime procedurals.

we finally watched Guardians of the Galaxy 2.
I'm not a comic book fan or a super hero movie fan or any of that shit, but good god, these films are fucking AMAZING.
movies don't make me laugh very often, to the point that i generally steer clear of comedies. But GotG2 made me LOL a LOT.
It also literally made me tear up a couple of times. And it was a hell of a visual spectacle. I'd say that these are 2 of the best movies i've seen in some YEARS, and that's really saying something coming from a guy who has never owned a comic book.
I was also stunned by the quality of Captain America: Winter Soldier.

So are there other Marvel movies that deliver a similar experience and are able to be enjoyed by someone who doesn't know much of anything about the subject matter?

Spider-Man: Homecoming was pretty neat. I also liked CA: Winter Soldier a lot. If you like those movies you could literally watch every one of them. It's all a big shared universe and all the superheroes get together in the Avengers movies (with the Guardians of the Galaxy joining in the next Avengers installment).

Easily one of the best NEW shows since 2010 as far as I'm concerned.

Checking out the new Tick series starring Peter Serafinowicz instead of Patrick Warburton.

I'm still partial to that original show (i also really enjoyed the animated series) but this one isn't too bad, i think it could get better if they have enough viewership to continue the series.

It's a good thing they changed the suit from the pilot though because good god it was awful!

what is that? Looks like a Tool video.
EDIT: NVM I figured it's Westworld: looks interesting.

Recently re-watched Looper and Source Code: totally kick ass, both of them. I will take low-key cerebral sci fi drama thriller over space opera any day.

    POSSESSION from 1981.

Might be THE most disturbing and unsettling film I have ever seen. Truly horrific. A basic description of the film is that its an examination of a marriage that is completely falling apart and both the husband and wife go completely fucking mad in the process. There's such a hypnotic and surreal feel to the whole film. And, my god, the lead actress gives an absolutely HARROWING performance.

    I'm still reeling from it.

I saw that film a few years ago. Man, that was one of the most fucked up films I had ever seen and scary as fuck. I love it.

    Manhunt: Unabomber
    - Series is well done, binge watched it in 3 days. I lived in California in the late 80s early 90s and this was pretty big story out there.
