listened to add violence, vespertine, pom pom, a moon shaped pool and a friend's album, spencer owen's blue circle, on vinyl tonight (it was a good relaxed evening)
went to Boiler Room (a really great pizza place here in chicago) last night and they played Hail To The Thief in its entirety, which is kind of a weird thing to listen to at a restaurant/bar on a busy wednesday evening... (that said, it's still in my top 3 radiohead albums)
Was listening to a lot of Not The Actual Events, Hesitation Marks The Slip and Add Violence. I am drawn to new NIN a lot, I don't tend to listen to old NIN for some reason that much.
I have been listening to shit ton of Brand New, God And Devil, Daisy and Science Fiction specifically.
actually really liking this

For people who love quality RnB, the new Ty Dolla Sign album, "Beach House 3", is amazing.
"Don't Judge Me" and "Ex" should be part of anyone's playlist.
"rock it (to the moon)" makes me want to go dancing. haven't done that in years.
memories of my very scarce good times

broke out this album for the first time in years yesterday. forgot how many times i had listened to it in high school. i used to be really into some weird music.
fav track on the album:
the second half of the song is so gorgeous
I'm checking out the new Big Dumb Face album!
Vintage <3
David Bowie's discography, was going through it, it was such a marvelous time, I missed out on so much great art.
Scary Monsters has such a fucking amazing opening too, his vocals are a fucking monster
I think I was mostly fixated on a few bands as a kid, so I missed a lot. This is a kind of amazing alternate universe heavy Smashing Pumpkins song with a more traditionally aggro metal vocalist. It's kind of brutal and dreamy at the same time. I love it. Deftones don't seem to have too many songs that are this shoegaze-y in the guitar department.
you should check out the album Koi No Yokan if you want more of that dreamy/brutal sound. i'm a huge fan of pretty much all of their albums but i think you'll really enjoy that one in particular.
@Jon i thought i was the only one around here who loves poison the well! i have a test pressing of "the tropic rot"!
Didn't like how abrasive sounding the first album was along with the mixing but fuckkkkkkkkkk, they've improved so so so much. Love this.
