Having a hard time finding working torrents for this guy's shit, ever since I heard his split with Grimes.

Will look into the rest you've listed here too, 'cause.

I feel like I should hate this band but I can't help but like them and I don't know why.

Skyhill - Run With The Hunted

Chill electronic music with delightful vocals and the occasional bit of acoustic guitar.

I blame those kids playing Zeppelin w/ the xylophones, marimbas, and percussions...

Yes, hence the photo I posted.

It feels/sounds like an entire different album.

I'm sorry, but when I see Conan the Barbarian is the most recent poster in the What are You Listening to? thread I expect to hear a little something more like this...

Lamb of God and that remaster are both pretty fucking awesome, though.

    So CLOSE ENOUGH.

"Oh, what to do, not to feel, and who are youuu" has got to be one of the catchiest choruses I've heard in a good long while. Gonna explore these guys more thoroughly.

The new Torche album is really good. Check it out if anyone is into doomy, sludgy, stoner type rock. The new Greenleaf album as well. Very QOTSA-ish.

The deluxe version of John Carpenters "Lost Themes" is a masterpiece! Not only do you get 9 dark as fuck imagined soundtracks from the man himself but you get 6 banging remixes from the likes of Zola Jesus, ohGr, Silent Servant and JG Thirlwell.
    Go get!

just baked cookies for my mom (going out for dinner for her b-day and she got in a car accident today so i figured i'd do something a little extra to cheer her up) while listening to:

    alkaline trio - s/t
the anniversary - designing a nervous breakdown
the get up kids - on a wire

three of my favorite albums from high school and i still absolutely love all of them. i've never let anyone give me shit for liking "emo" or whatever the fuck you want to call it; the music is fun and it makes me feel good.
