Enter Shikari - The Spark just came out. There are some tunes on here, and some...not so good songs. Bit of a mixed bag.

I've been listening to a lot of stuff from Japanese bands AA= and Boris. AA= was started by one of the members of The Mad Capsule Markets.

But to be more specific, these 5 albums are on heavy rotation at the moment...

    Boris - Dear
    AA= - #5
Underworld - Beaucoup Fish (a remastered super deluxe edition just came out)
    Woven - 8 Bit Monk
    Siriusmo - Comic

so i mostly listened to music (on CD) in my car, DUE TO there's a 10 disk CD changer in the back.
for roadtrips i sometimes load randomly and that will become the 'soundtrack'-so to speak- for that adventure.
so spinning for the past month has been the following:
    *Tweaker: 2 a.m. wakeup call
David Bowie: Back In Anger 1995 Radio Transmissions 2 CD set
    Morphine: B-Sides and Otherwise
    Mellowdrone: go get 'em tiger
    *REM: New Adventures In Hi-Fi
    *Scissor Sisters: Scissor Sisters
Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross: The Social Network
    *Elton John: Greatest Hits 1970-2002

    *recently acquired random purchase(s)
surprisingly enough, what i thought was Tobacco for the last month or so (in the changer) is actually a band called Scissor Sisters...
i had never heard of this band before and purchased the CD because of a similarity in name to The Shakespeare's Sister, plus the CD was cheap.
WOW!!! EASILY MY NEW FAVORITE CD!!

They have a show in Charlotte in December but I'm hesitant to go since I'm not "trve kvlt" and I'm afraid of fans that'd be there treating me badly due to it.

I got into Tool around 2001 when Lateralus came out, then I got their whole back catalog soon after. Lateralus was my fave LP of theirs compared to the other two at first, but recently I've found that Undertow seems to get better every time I listen to it wheras Aenima and Lateralus haven't changed much. Yeah the later albums have their critical acclaim and better production, but there is something special about the grit and rawness of Undertow that can't be matched.
