I can't stop listening to the new OPN track. Fucking ridiculously good, man.

I fucking miss this band. Probably the last thing in the history of music that was considered dangerous.

Welt is such a fucking fantastic and unappreciated album. It's my number album of all time.

Didn't even know this came out until last night. I'm digging it thus far, kind of a noisier, more fucked-up portishead type of vibe on some of it.

Miles ahead of World Painted Blood.

Also, the new Cattle Decapitation is awesome.

Agreed, the new Cattle Decapitation is album of the year material in my opinion. They're opening for Cannibal Corpse next month and I cannot wait to see them. I'm still trying to get into Repentless. I've noticed a lot of Slayer fans are divided between loving it and hating it (metal fans, what can you do?) but I personally find the release to be just okay. That said, I've only listened to it all the way through three times so far and it is getting better with each listen.

I also recommend Ghost and Nile's new releases if you're into either of those bands.

    Low - Ones and Sixes

Their best album in years IMO. "Lies" and "Landslide" hit especially hard.

i wasn't huge on drums & guns (after LOVING the great destroyer) and i still haven't listened to c'mon c'mon or invisible way because the one or two songs i heard off of each didn't do anything for me. where is this in terms of their general sound?

Nirvana, and a lot of it. I`ll spare the tedium of posting every single album cover. I never ventured much beyond Nevermind and In Utero, and only very rarely; I suppose, growing up, I avoided the discography largely because I didn`t want to spend a lot of time dwelling on what could have been, I guess. (Also, was way more into NIN, Manson, the Pumpkins, AIC and Soundgarden). I`ve come around though. Currently enjoying Muddy Banks and Bleach, and looking into the Outcesticide boots.

It's got the diverse sonic palette of Drums and Guns with the songwriting chops of Things We Lost in the Fire. Definitely my favourite since Destroyer.

EDIT: This has rapidly become one of my favourite songs of the year.

My wife turned me on to The Japanese House and I can't stop listening. Sort of a downtempo ambient / mellow synth vibe...kind of a Feist feel too...so damn good.

"Good morning, here's another shitstorm coming my way, Panicking heads, visual shit, audible waste; And someone's reaching, someone's digging into my skin, lifting me up, waking me up -- look I just wanna sleep, look I just wanna sleep, look I just wanna -- and I am not, affected, affected, affected, Now I'm not -- affected, affected --What is wrong with me? (What's happening? This is not living.) What is wrong with me?"

Definitely going to rank among my favorites of 2015.

Specifically, the original US CD release (pre digital remastering). One of the few albums that comes to mind where every single track is/was played on mainstream radio. Also, Domino.
