Got my UK link for FLACs, 24/48, almost no metadata except the protools stuff @Jon found in the WAVs, which is surprising. I had to tag the track names, artist, album etc.! Decided to go for the FB black cover, at least for now. Why not.

So I got the WAV files version (on windows 10) and all my tracks are slowed down (which I figured out after comparing them to Burning Bright which is posted on Youtube by NIN official). Also there was no artwork in my download. Anyone else have these issues?

Guys, not to be a dick, but converting FLAC files, compatibility of said files with your device of choice and how to transfer them there are answers that you can easily find around. This forum is far from being the best place for troubleshooting .

I haven't shuddered and shook while listening to music like that in a long time. NIN has certainly given me the chills and made me want to groove but it's been a decade or so since it's made me feel like that and since Trent and Atticus are revisiting The Fragile lately, it only makes sense. But I can definitely see that Trent's grown as well. This is far more aggressive and on the nose than he's been in a while and still, just as mysterious because I honestly have no idea just what this is about. Yet. It's going to be fun to pick apart, and I can only wait to see what comes after.

I know some people said it was just a stopgap so that Trent could say "Hey, I did what I said I would," after getting swamped by work, but be that true or not, I can't say that I or (from the responses) anyone here is disappointed.

It does leave you itching though. I can't wait to see what the future holds!

I agree with some others that this fits better as an EP that it does a full length, which is perfect really.

There's a lot here to listen to, lots of subtle amongst the easy to spot, it's awesome. I really like this turn...

He really does know how to keep us all in suspense, and the surprises, it may takes many years at times between everything, but what we get as fans is... the best.

I cant add the artwork to my wav files in itunes. They are simply not showing the artwork on my iphone :/ help

WAV files don't support embedded artwork. You can associate artwork with them in iTunes, but they are simply stored in the iTunes database, not in the digital file itself, so if you copy the WAV to something else, like your iPhone, there is no artwork.

You need to transcode them to something like AIFF or ALAC.

Is there a way to just order the mp3 files?

Not currently. Currently the cheapest way to obtain it is to order the "Physical Component" product for $12, which comes with the digital download. Tomorrow, though, the EP will be available through all digital retailers, so you'll have your pick, like iTunes Store, Amazon MP3, Google Play, etc.

iOS doesn't support FLAC (natively). I think there are FLAC player apps, but haven't tried one. If you want to convert it to something natively supported by Apple, transcode it to ALAC.

This is only half answering your question, but someone on a previous post said there's only audio clipping in "She's Gone Away" and it's pretty obviously intentional in that one. I think this EP was just mastered to be very loud. Just like Broken was back in '92.
