STP will be opening up for Nickelback.

I know..., but it's still a chance to play in front of some big crowds.

I think the worst part about STP opening for Nickelback would be having to be surrounded by fans of Nickelback.

Bummer. This tour looked awesome and it was selling really well. Would have been a great way to reintroduce this version of the band.

New album is great. The new songs sound much better on disc than they do on youtube.

I just discovered the STP Legacy YouTube channel. I guess it's official? Anyway, it's got a lot of cool stuff and I found these surround versions of Core and Purple. Pretty interesting listen.

I remember buying the Core DVDA way back when and it sounded so flat and uninspiring. awesome that they've made it available for free though.

True. These surround versions don't sound great, but they're letting me hear some details here and there that I never knew about.

Yeah, I've always loved that one. I taped it on VHS back when it originally aired.

God that was great. Loved the hard left after Purple.

Dave Coutts on the Brief, Difficult Life of Talk Show, the Forgotten Stone Temple Pilots Spinoff Group

Good article/interview. I really liked the Talk Show album and think of it as the "lost" STP album.
