Season 3 starts January 17. Anyone else excited by the new teasers on FX?

I'll never go to Kentucky after watching the show.

Season 3 really started off with a bang, securing Raylan Given's place as the most bad-ass character on TV right now.

Agreed, that was a great way to start the season.

Yeah, I loved the episode. I always look forward to this show because it never disappoints. The last scene with Ice Pick (or whatever his name is, the dude from Dexter) did indeed show how bad ass Raylan Givens is. Boyd is a great character, too, so dark but still tries the "Jesus is my savior so I'm good now" routine. Love how he basically got himself landed in prison to take care of some unfinished business. Can't wait for the rest of the season.

Did you see the season preview at the end of the episode? It looks like it's gonna be fucking awesome.

Anybody still watching this? The season finale was fantastic. I'm glad this finally hit its stride this season, every season has been good but it was just all over the place sometimes. This season was great all the way through, and that finale is probably my favorite episode of the series so far.

Yeah man, I watched this season. I even deemed Tuesdays (or Wednesdays when I caught up on DVR) Wild Turkey night and drank along with them. Love this show and everything about it is so good. All the characters are pretty much ace and the acting is so good, I feel like I'm sitting there in Kentucky. Definitely can't wait for a next season!

The wife and I have been meaning to jump in to this show from the start for a while now...obviously I know it's a vague thing to ask, but what could you compare this show to? In terms of plot, pacing, style, etc. etc.

I'd start with films like Jackie Brown and Out Of Sight. The show is based off a short story by Elmore Leonard, who wrote the novels both of those movies were based on. I'm not a devotee of his, but I can make the connection between the sense of humor of those films (and to a lesser degree, Get Shorty) and the show.

Sad to see so little love for this show, probably the best running on FX right now. Even sadder to see that the sixth season might be it's last.

I love this show. We're only on the fifth season. Has it even been renewed for a sixth?

6 seasons sounds about right to me. more than 6 is way to much. even though it worked for Soprano. But this is indeed one helluva show. Has probably the most amazing dialogues i've ever seen on television.

Started season one of this show a little bit ago. I freaking LOVE it. It's so fun to watch and I really really enjoy the Raylan Givens character. Even the episodes not related to Boyd and his gang are great.

I've been watching this since it first aired, one of the rare consistantly good shows from FX (or anywhere else for that matter.) It also eased the pain of losing Deadwood in it's 3rd season for me, watching so many actors from Deadwood join the show and having the brilliant Timothy Olyphant front and centre is a joy to watch.

Having the legendary Sam Elliott and Garret Dillahunt sign on for the last season should make it the best season ever!

The episode is free on Amazon Prime for a few weeks. Caught it tonight, loved it. I'll be pretty sad to see this show go but it looks like it's going to leave with a bang.

This became my favorite show on TV pretty quickly. And man, it seems from that opening episode last week, that like the song at the end of each season says, no one will leave Harlan alive.

Final episode in a couple of days. It's been a damn good season, and it's nice to see (provided that the finale delivers) it's going out with both barrels blazing.

It has been a really good season so far a bit of a slower buildup than I anticipated but it has still been awesome. I can't believe there is only one more show to go, I'm going to miss this show.

Going into the finale, my thought was "there is no possible way this could end in anything but a bloodbath." I am so happy things turned out differently. What I've always loved about this show is that it consistently defied my expectations, and this finale was no different. What a fantastic, clever way to end the series.

and we're all just going to assume constable Bob lived, right?

Whoa.

Timothy Olyphant returning in Justified limited series. (https://deadline.com/2022/01/fx-greenlights-latest-elmore-leonard-1234912732)

I'm excited for this but also Nick Searcy turned into a toad of a human being. Reading the article it sounds like they have a way to do the story without him though so I guess that's a good thing. That said there's also basically no reason anyone from the show should be in this story and there were a lot of great characters.

Still cautiously optimistic.

But he's Sharon Stone's cousin!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, I once read through his twitter feed like 5 years back once and that was all I needed to see. He basically became his character from Head of State (Brian Lewis), which is one of the best movies ever btw.

But yeah, without Boyd in the mix I don't see how this is gonna live up to the original run.

One of my dream scenarios is for Justified to have one final film written and directed by Tarantino starring the original cast since he was a big fan of the show. It would never happen obviously, but it should.

Lost Boyd Crowder but gained Boyd Holbrook...fair trade in my estimation.

Three episodes into the new season. Liking it so far... except for the kid. Maybe not the best idea to cast 20 yo with 0 acting experience (i looked it up) (and Olyphant's IRL daugher btw) to play a 15yo teenager. And the characted itself written pretty badly too.

I thought she was pretty funny. Definitely gave Raylan a taste of his own stubbornness.

I really enjoyed the new season and the main villain. A lot disliked it and I don't know why other than the new setting.

I really enjoyed the new season. I'm a big Elmore Leonard head & having his kids involved has turned out to be a good thing. After that teaser at the end (I'm not telling!) I definitely want another season.

The Boyd escape was a fun watch but it kinda deflated the vicious antagonist they built in Mansell. He was built up to only be quickly disposed by Raylan earlier in the episode. It was a good ending and finish for his character but the return of Boyd made it a bit like an anecdote to the result of Raylan retiring to only inevitably return to duty for Boyd capture. I truly hated Clement Mansell so bravo to Boyd Holbrook for the portrayal, masterfully done (45 underwear scenes and all).

For some reason, this line from Sandy pops into my head every so often: "You know, Aruba, Jamaica? Do I have to sing the whole fucking song?"
