Well, I am a huge fan of Guild Wars and for that matter I thought I should look for other players here on ETS.
For those who don't know, Guild Wars is a buy-once MMORPG (though CORPG would be better). It's one of the best MMOs competing with WoW, Lineage II, Aion <insert other MMO here>. It has a huge player base with millions of active members and even more accounts.
It has 3 buyable campaigns: Prophecies, Factions, Nightfall and one free ongoing campaign: Beyond (with three main quest lines)
One expansion: Eye of The North
It has 8 professions: Warrior, Ranger, Monk, Necromancer, Mesmer, Elementalist, Assassin, Ritualist, Paragon and Dervish and each can have a secondary profession among the others.
One playable race: human d'oh.
It has multiple events throughout the year where new content is implemented, from hats to quest lines that run deep into the lore.
Being free, you can play it and play it again without having to buy anything from the store and it also doesn't forces you to do so. You can buy some costumes that only look cool, some skills and pets that you can easily get anyway. One of the most interesting thing in the store is the Bonus Mission Pack that fills in the blanks for some early lore. I am a lorewhore so this was a must-have.

And it gets better. Guild Wars 2 is in closed beta starting with January and that game looks more than awesome. Not to mention the gameplay. Best part? Still subscription free. More classes, more playable races, lore for every loremongers, live quests and objectives, cross-profession combos and boss battles like never seen before. Seriously, for those who don't know, those things are huge!
PvP in GW2 will be a lot better, with hundreds of people fighting at the same time.

For those who already know the game, I have a God Walking Amongst Mere Mortals with 50/50 and another secondary account with 30/50. Ex Alliance Leader and Guild Leader of two max guilds (at the same time). I mainly played with my girlfriend and couple of friends and we're going to play Guild Wars 2 when it finally comes out.
