That's What I Get 90%
A Warm Place 100%
La Mer 70%
The Day The World Went Away 20%

ok, i was waiting until you actually did something to comment, so now i feel equipped to do so.

are you planning on re-making the entire NIN catalogue as carbon copies? because your "version" of hurt just sounds like an instrumental version of the original with instruments that sound synthesized instead of realistic.

now, if you're going for making your own versions that sound as close to the originals as possible, then you've actually done a pretty good job. but i don't know why you would want to do that. if you're going to take on a project this big, why not make it your own? what's the point of covering a bunch of NIN songs and not making them sound any different? you're clearly capable of making music, so why not turn it into something new?

hope this didn't come across as offensive, as i'm really just trying to be honest and genuine.

ok, but why? why would you want to re-make the entire NIN library and make it sound almost exactly the same? i am honestly asking.

I felt like it. To be honest I dont really know how to redo a song on its own, make it sound different while still remaining the same....

i still stand by this statement, and i still don't feel like you've properly answered me. hearing more of what you've done, i'm wondering even more what the point of your experiment is. it really just sounds like you're doing near carbon copies of the songs, and it seems like a bit of a waste of time and energy.

yeah, that's fine. i'm just saying you shouldn't expect a very positive reaction from most people.

Weird.
Well, I guess if anyone is going to have a deep knowledge of all the individual pieces of the cataloge it's going to be you when you're done with it.

well, at least you're not working from MIDI files you downloaded off the net.

...right?

I really don't see the point, sorry.
"I'm going to do cover versions of an artist's entire catalogue!"
"Really? What will you do differently?"
"NOTHING!"

I guess my point is, why spend that amount of time trying to make echoes instead of learning to shout...? Deep, eh?
