On Windows, go into the Control Panel, click Internet Options. Under the Connections pane, there should be a panel with some information about proxy configuration on LAN connections. Click the Setup button to open a pop-up where you can paste in the proxy information.

Gave Up going into the slow section, and Wish coming out of it. Don't ever change, Trent. :D

I was actually stoked for the first 3 songs or so that he had massively changed up everything. It's settled into more familiar territory for the rest of the show though. That's not entirely bad though, and a lot of the instrumentation has changed, a lot more electronic, and people playing everything. And if these are just the stopgap visuals, I can't wait to see what Tension looks like.

So, for the last few songs, I'm guessing we'll get THTF, HLAH, and Hurt?

Mostly enjoyable, but I missed a lot due to the stream stopping several times. Loved the new arrangement of Hurt, which is a song I normally don't care for. Missed the first few songs, so I didn't catch Copy of A, but Find My Way sounded interesting. Probably better on an album than in a concert setting, though. Only had some sweet visuals, and I like how they went back to Rob's original concept with the silhouettes for the THTF visuals. No other real surprises in the portion I was able to watch, but it was a solid festival set.

I really hope someone who's willing to share recorded this in 720p without any flaws. I give Fuji Rock Festival credit for trying, but this was a real mess. Advertising this in English while blocking it for most of the English-speaking world is a big fucking faux pas. I'd assume that was deliberate, if it wasn't for the fact that I was only able to watch it through hola.org, using the UK as unblocker. That points towards them not knowing what the fuck they were doing.

Deepvoid

Good show. Stream/proxy was pretty bad up until Piggy for me. Then I found a good proxy and was able to watch the rest of the show without any glitches going forward.
Visuals were nice. We know Tension will be a notch above so exciting times ahead.

Not as much energy as we grew accustomed to but still a solid performance from everyone.
With that being said, am I the only one who thinks Ilan Rubin is overdoing things at times? There's no denying his talent but the ending of Wish sounded all over the place on drums. I also thought he added a lot of drums in the pre-chorus of MOTP, pretty much added a beat instead of just punching with cymbals and snare.

Just little things I noticed here and there. Nitpicking basically ..

After that it was amazing watching it in pretty crisp 720p, I can't wait for the stream rip to be made. I really really loved the added... electronic sound I guess you could say to nearly all the oldies, it just made them sound fresher but still have that familiar sound. Show was great, I recorded the whole thing, but I must sleep now. Its 9:45 A.M and I've now been up for 26 hours. I really liked Find My Way and didn't think it it sounded like HTDA at all. Maybe that guy only thinks that because its slow. All slower songs sound alike, right? Copy of A was my favorite part though, along with the new Sanctified. THTF visuals tripped me out at first when the screen people weren't meshing with the real people. Lack of sleep made me think I was hallucinating, or that somehow it was the streams fault. Also, in Wish, was the stream making that glitchy shit behind the lights or was that actually there? I couldn't fucking tell!

Well, my proxy gave up during Gave Up, and I wasn't able to get another one to work (I am supposed to be getting work done, so I couldn't concentrate all my energies on getting the stream to work), but up to that point, it was certainly interesting. I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of the show later. It's certainly a different take on things. The electronic sound is good, and the visuals I saw were damn cool. Still, on first listen, I couldn't help but sorta miss the rock sound. It just didn't quite have the balls (for lack of a better word) that the last tours did, but again, I'm judging from just a few songs. And, with the volume and atmosphere of a live show in person, I'm certain those concerns will vanish entirely. Still very very excited to see what Tension has in store for us. The festival show was more elaborate at some parts than LITS, so when they have complete control of an arena, I expect the visuals to be unlike any show I've seen before. So glad they're back. 3 months can't pass quickly enough.

I'm not jumping to conclusions on the song, I'm giving it a chance, I'd just say, so far, the live edition of it sounds a lot like HTDA. Copy of A is a lot better. It's an early live recording, just so far, Find My Way is a little underwhelming.

I saw the stream as far as Reptile..first three songs were jaw droppingly good, cool arrangements, and I thought "great,a new fresh, reinvented NIN", then 1,000,000 then Pigs, Piggy came on and it was "same old, same old". VERY Disappointed. Band sounds great, tight, etc, and I will definitely check out the rest of the show later to see if they mixed things up any more, but Ive just seen the setlist and it looked unispired and rehashed..Hope Im wrong!

Anyway, love the more dark/moody/electronic show vs the "rawk" show. I really think that's why he disbanded NIN as a touring entity originally...tired of the rock, wanted to do something different. This seems to be a lot different and I like that.

I felt like the stream was taking the piss out of me several times. For instance, it halted during Closer right as the band was about to go into the first chorus. 1. Yes, the Hurt visuals partly consisted of the Self-Destruct era visuals.
2. Yeah, the arrangement of Hurt had some beautiful string synths in the mix. Sounded fantastic!
3. Unfortunately, The Only Time is still in Closer. I hoped, all the way up to it, that it'd be gone for good now.

Really?

Somewhat Damaged
Terrible Lie
Discipline
March of the Pigs
SICNH
Closer
Ruiner
Burn
Gave Up
La Mer
The Frail
The Wretched
Lights in the Sky
Eraser
1,000,000
Wish
Suck
The Day The World Went Away
Dead Souls
Hurt
THTF
HLAH

Not really deep cuts by my count, except maybe The Day The World Went Away, Suck and Dead Souls are close. Maybe SICNH, maybe.

It also is clearly marked at trying to turn the masses into NIN fans. This was a good set, imo.

Not trying to argue you with over setlists and or validity of other members sign up dates, because I'm an adult. But just suggesting that you should check out festival appearances such as the Hurricane Festival set. Like I said, stacked with deep cuts. It's not that I outright hate it. But I do prefer the little synth meltdown Trent did during the Self-Destruct era. Woodstock 94 is probably my favourite live version of Closer:

This is getting ridiculous. You guys are only using the term "deep cuts" because Trent released a compilation with that name, and he probably doesn't even know what it means either. I propose that we bestow the title of "The Deepest of Cuts" upon the only deep cut truly deserving it: Deep.

Don't get me wrong, I love it but seeing Rob telling us to try to stay away from spoilers and all that has been said about "the new NIN" I'm kind of surprised.
The only new element I see here is those video screens moved by hand but well...
At least it's going to be amazing for a festival production (They're playing before Phoenix where I go, going to be hard to top that after their set.)

Oh and Copy Of A is a killer intro track. Upbeat but not in an unpleasant way, Punchy enough to start a show and damn Noisy.

The only thing I did notice for this show is that TR is very clearly doing more to save his voice this time around...not nearly the same amount of oomph during 'Wish', not even singing the choruses for 'The Hand That Feeds' and 'Head Like A Hole' (at about 19:00 and 20:40 in the video I posted above).

Not necessarily a bad thing, just something I noticed...it's pretty obvious, but again...first show back.

I think it would have sounded better with her. It's such a sparse song, and TR doesn't really have the range to fill it out. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the best tracks from HTDA were left off Oblivion for the sake of putting it on the new NIN album.

And I'm personally very happy about it. I never had a chance to see LITS.

I'm aware that Tension is going to be way different but as this is their 'first' tour since so long, I didn't expect them to start back from where he left. (well kinda.)
But anyway that's a great way to start the NIN machine back on and to reinforce his fanbase. (Cause when you see the setlist that's clearly the point)

I remember the words "reinterpretations" of the songs live being thrown around....IDGAF if I get blasted, I know I am going to get blasted, but TR returns after a 4 year break and does the same kinda sets he was doing post 2005...is disappointing...anyone who doesn't agree is full of shit...everyone here (including me) would have jerked off all over themselves if TR came out today and did songs like 'happiness in slavery, SICNH, perfect drug, WITT, Fragile, I do not want this, dead souls, no you don't, and all that could have been, that's what I get, into the void, the great below, even some remix versions etc.....to come out and do fucking hand that feeds, only, slip and YZ songs, the singles...is a LET DOWN...

The only thing I did notice for this show is that TR is very clearly doing more to save his voice this time around...not nearly the same amount of oomph during 'Wish', not even singing the choruses for 'The Hand That Feeds' and 'Head Like A Hole'

I can't remember the last time he sang the chorus on Head Like A Hole.

I still haven't heard it. Nobody's waving it around yet.

I'm sorry if this sounds whiney, because its not meant to be and I'm geniunely appreciative of everyone's effort, but has the full show (audio or video) appeared yet? The stuff we've got so far has been great, and want to check out the whole thing when it's up.

So I guess any of us who were expecting rare songs and Fragile era songs can go home now.....Glad TR is back, but jesus fuck, that setlist was brutal..totally catered to newbie fans and greatest hits BS.....Explain how Year Zero gets 3 songs and Fragile gets 1 song? closing out the show with Hand, Only, Hurt and HLAH...This was the same set closers in 2005//2006//2007//2008..you get the point....I am actually shocked at the mediocrity of the setlist....wow

Never underestimate a large portion of the NIN fanbase to feel super entitled to a personal hand picked setlist.

HEY! HEY GUYS! Maybe Trent LIKES playing these songs and wants to play them after not playing them for 4 years.

One of the only things the 2013 Hurt visuals contained from the original Self-Destruct era visuals is the footage of the snake. The rest was new content added and edited for the show.

Just kidding. I forgot that there's bomb stuff, the frog being caught in the venus flytrap, the flying debris, and the last part of the song when the screens move away and disappear is from the original video.

To anyone complaining, I feel sorry for you that you're not enjoying NIN's awesome return. I don't know what you're expecting from Trent, but it's too much. You expect him to play all the surprises he has in store at the very first festival show of the new tours? Who knows what else NIN has in store for us down the road at the other shows. Right now I'm MORE than satisfied with Sanctified, Copy of A, and Find My Way. I am a happy NIN fan right now (NIN fans, happy? Never.)

The melody for Find My Way reminds me of the opening melody for Somewhat Damaged. Really excited to hear the rest of the new album. Thanks to the people who have been uploading mp3s and videos of the concert: I finally got the proxy to work for the last two songs. So excited for the upcoming shows!

Yeah, that was my immediate thought (as well as the part about the thanks to fantastic uploading people). The whole time I was like, "this song is really cool, but the verse vocals remind me of something," then right after the "pray the lord my soul to take" the lyric "flew too high and burnt the wing" dropped into my head. But hey, it's like this kinda cool reflexive minimal-quiet brother to Somewhat Damaged. Cool in my book (which will be a 28-page hardcover book in September).

I still have not bought a ticket to go see them live this tour. Am curious to see how the non festival show setlists go first.

That said, that live Sanctified version is pretty great, imo. Reserving judgement on Copy of A until a better and more complete version pops up. Find My Way seems alright, sounds like it could have been in TSN soundtrack.

This setlist was insufficient. I demand that Trent strips all his clothes off, extends his middle finger to the crowd while setting himself on fire, and then the rest of the band dismantles his body and beats it against a sampler to play a reimagined The Perfect Drug that will never be heard by anyone after that point.

I think the setlist will change up for the main HM tour.

Am I the only one who doesn't care for the drummer? He's good but in my opinion doesn't put enough of his own flare like Jerome Dillon, Chris Vrenna, and Josh Freese did. I can't quite put my finger on it, I just know I like the previously mentioned 3 the most. Please don't jump on me! :)

Robin Finck was awesome as usual. I think he's always been a vital part to NIN both live and in studio.

I like the new songs but I think I'll appreciate them more when I hear the album versions.

Do a song comparison, take the time, if you must. For one thing, Ilan killed "Piggy" during this first show, just as well as Josh's performances, in my opinion. Hey I think Ilan is a GREAT drummer and you're right, he does kill it during "Piggy". It's more of a personal preference thing I guess.

I'll take "Wish" as an example...in this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RFAz4xhZ96c
from about 0:57 - 1:33, that part...compare Dillon's version with Ilan at Fuji Rock
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4MTX9vvclRQ

1:30-2:15

and I think Dillon killed it. Once again, it's just a personal preference issue. Another example is the way Chris Vrenna played Happiness in Slavery and Burn live compared to other drummers...imo he was the best at those particular songs live. I'm a drummer too but my skills aren't anywhere close to any of the NIN drummers. lol

I just wanted to say I'm eternally grateful for everyone who's posted download links and videos and shiz so far. You guys are rad, and the very reason most of us have NIN fapping material at the magical time at the beginning of a tour cycle. I've only listened to "Find My Way" so far, but that alone was enough to convince me that I need to double down and just get a general admission ticket to the Kansas City show, and the show won't even be exactly the same for that tour, from what it sounds like.

Also, I feel like this picture I saw in the comments of NIN's recent photo from last night on their Facebook page sums up the current state of the NIN fan community.

Well, on the topic of Ilan, I will add that I don't think the sound guys did him any favors. His toms are barely in the mix. That's making a lot of his fills translate poorly in the streamed video, IMO. Dude's good, just needs more toms in the PA!
