Lately, I've been having a hard time keeping track of NIN-related postings on social networks. With the the band having official accounts on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram, plus every band member also posting on their personal account, there have been teasers regarding the upcoming tours which I am sure some of us have missed. So I'd like to suggest a new pinned thread, somewhat like the NIN-Spotting thread, where we could keep track of all those posts, making it the one place to go to for all that content instead of running around all over the place. If you guys feel such a thread is unnecessary, go ahead and lock it up. Otherwise, I'll go ahead with a first tweet from Rob, which suggests they're already in Japan for the first show of the tour this week.

Well, we don't know for sure if the whole band and crew is there, or if Rob went a little early, but chances are pretty good the performers are already there. There's a lot of weight on this show seeing as it's the first one in so long. If they have already arrived, I'd guess it's because they wanted to give their bodies a chance to adjust to the time difference since it's pretty extreme, and it gives them some downtime to relax after what appears to have been months of intense rehearsals.

Ilan posted a pic today saying he was going to miss his dogs, so I think the actual band hasn't left yet. I'm sure Trent is there with Rob overseeing everything though...but who really knows? I'm sure the day of the first show and going forward they'll all be tweeting their asses off for the next few months. Trent has probably had a gag order in effect thus far.

I'm really looking forward to all the endless interesting content that will come out of the tour, like candids and weird moments and things like that. Those were always some of my favorite pictures/videos to look at on previous tours.

Rob just posted this picture of a Super Mario themed bar in Tokyo. Looks pretty awesome. Mariqueen was among those that responded. I think it's safe to say Trent's in Japan. And in less than 48 hours, we will know what this festival tour is all about.

Yeah, I debated how many of the links in Rob's About Me page to include, his Flickr link reminded me to put the band's Flickr in the band list, but I left out the more obscure ones.

Edit: I actually went to Google+ but neither the NIN page, Trent's page or Rob's page have had anything posted in years. (those are the only ones I follow on Google+)

probably just me, but i miss the days when it was a big deal if trent or someone associated with the band made a comment on a post ie old days at nin.com. at least Trent still only very rarely comments or posts anything. kinda dont follow the other guys, as not to interested with their lives outside of the band.

I'm guessing Josh dropped out of APC because they were doing some one off shows/festivals and weren't commited to doing anything outside of that- including releasing new music. Probably wasn't worth it and can't blame him. He had and has other stuff lined up.

Also for what it's worth I don't think it was a friendly split. Last I checked nine of them follow each other on Twitter (could be wrong) and it just kind if happened with only announcement from a JF tweet. Would love to see him back in NIN but again, schedule conflicts and its his decision. He seems to be on good terms with TR's camp though

Devo's done 4 shows this year, Sublime with Rome did a couple dozen, Replacements are doing 3 shows.

Like I said, no massive year-long tours, but a couple weeks/months, yeah.

Well, that confirms my suspicion of Ally taking bass duty. Also looks like Robin's been growing his hair out again (tied on his head) and either Trent is handling synth duties (weird?) or he's just playing a piano part for a song (more likely).
Very excited to see a bootleg of this setup! Hope they keep it all like this when they eventually come back to the states.

I imagine they'll scale up the lighting rig in larger venues. I was referring to the stage plot — the instruments' footprint, even for a medium-sized band, is pretty small. For NIN it's positively TINY, and there looks to be no backline whatsoever, just a single guitar cab for Robin.

Honestly, they should let QOTSA win the coin toss every night, it'd make their techs' lives so much easier — NIN's easily got half as much gear to schlep offstage.
