- getting my music display show elapsed time as m:s instead of counting seconds

Do you know how to write substitutions? I'm using a font that has 51 characters, a-z and A-Y, that each represent increments of 2% of a circle with a=0% and Y=100%. I've got my iTunes script set up to display the elapsed time of a song out of 51, but I don't know how to write a way to convert "0" & "1" to "a" and "2" & "3" to "b", etc.

It sounds simple enough but I've been scouring the internet for tips for almost 3 hours now and I've come up with nothing that works.

*edit* this is what my code currently looks like:

Last year, an LA radio station had a contest to post a Queens of the Stone Age related pic to your twitter to win tickets to a sold out show [that my gf and I weren't able to buy]. Her pic was inspired from the song 'Feel Good Hit of the Summer.' Unfortunately, the she didn't win, but I've had this on my desktop since last May.
