WVM

I was referred to this site via someone from Facebook that suggested I post on here about a campaign I have on http://www.indiegogo.com/wvm to complete my debut album. I go under the name WVM, the music is a mixture of electro, rock, dark melodic and futuristic. I kind of fell into working with Sean Beavan, Chris Vrenna and Josh Freese on this record, it's not something I set out to do, it's something I just sort of fell into but believe me I haven't met more focused and talented individuals in my life and am very glad they are a part of this record.. My inspirations in music are Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, Radiohead, Aphex Twin, David Bowie, electronic and hard edged music, Beethoven, The Cure, Depeche Mode, Pink Floyd.
I think this video sums up what this record is about

I need your help to complete it, my finances can only take me so far.... I've actually been told by a very prominent A&R rep that I can get signed in a "heartbeat" with this new music but he mentioned I would have to "dumb down" my music, make it "generic" and make it sound more like other bands, these are his words not mine. I don't want to do this, for me, music is expression. I am sure there are a few labels out there that believe in art and perhaps one day our paths will meet. But I make music to express myself and I hope it reaches you... so I will release this record independently financed by myself and the people who want to support it. My campaign at http://www.indiegogo.com/wvm helps me to take my music to new heights as far as production is concerned so I can bring you the best music I can possibly make and at the same time you actually become a part of this record. There are a number of different perks but everyone that joins in this campaign will get their name in the liner notes and beyond, as well as knowing you helped make it by helping to fund it's completion.
